Ivory in the Mist
Despite the ongoing conflict, there were those who remained steadfast in their own traditions - the Dragons, Kitsune, Wolves, and mythical Merfolk. Regardless of their allegiance, all of them suffered a heartbreaking outcome as war claimed the lives of hundreds of thousands and caused irreparable harm. An entire ethnic group faced annihilation due to the catastrophic effects of the war. After much struggle and sacrifice, thirteen Nations eventually reached a consensus for a truce.
The war brought about tremendous loss, dividing families and leaving society without leadership. To prevent a repeat of the devastating Battle of Brothers, the Grand Central Council was established, and all beings in the Thirteen Kingdoms were required to adhere to Heleo’s foundational laws. The era of rogue revolutions had come to an end, as the powerful had been curbed by the governing body of the Imperial Council. However, not all citizens were fortunate enough to have such protection.
In every nation, there were diverse cultural and belief systems that guided people in surviving this harsh world, regardless of their social class - be it the elite or the enslaved.
