@✵ choi yewon⁻ᵗʳᵃᶦⁿᵉᵉ Jake doesn't realize it immediately as he approaches the girl. His eyes had taken in the way she leaned onto her palm and for a few moments, he just assumed she was probably bored and alone. It was only once she straightened up and faced him that her demeanor slowly started to feel a little odd to him, though he wasn't quite sure what to make of it. Instead, his eyes chose to focus on the dead device she held in her hand, following it all the way down to the counter as it was set down. He lets out a small "Oh, that " as he drags his gaze back to her, finally taking in the smudged makeup that had easily been hidden by the dim lights of the nightclub as well as the naturally smudged look for the costume, though, now that he was paying attention, it definitely did look a little bit like she'd been rubbing at it or sweating it out.

It really only clicks for him once the girl finally speaks up and he can hear the obvious slur in her words. The makeup had also done a good job of hiding her expression, but as he pays closer attention he finally does notice the half-lidded gaze and the faint blush over the bits of her cheeks that were no longer tainted by the white makeup. He remained silent for a few more seconds as he took note of her and the empty glass sitting in front of her, being pulled away only once her hand landed on his shoulder, for once initiating the interaction herself. Not that he'd been counting.

Her request was just as unexpected and his brows were raised as he faced her unsure of how to respond. The haziness was obvious in her eyes. He wasn’t sure how much she’d had to drink, but he'd argue it was probably enough. Still, he tilted his head a little in question and handed out his own water bottle to her in offering. He knew that was not what she meant when she'd asked for a drink, but he still thought it best at her current state. Yewon looked like she needed a break from drinking, at least for now, and maybe some fresh air. "Maybe you should have some water first?" He offered quietly, though almost too low to be heard over the music, yet kept his water held out in resolve.

@◈ park jaechan⁻ʳᵃᵈᶦᵒ ʰᵒˢᵗ Jaeyun did not notice the way Jaechan's hands fidgeted in front of him as he kept his eyes on the other's face, an excited smile still over his features as he nodded softly at host's words. He did, however, catch the way the other swayed a little as he spoke, and it had him wondering whether Jaechan was nervous.

He’d always assumed radio hosts and streamers were effortlessly confident, after all, they spoke to people for a living, most times on a daily, and more often than not while live streaming to hundreds, sometimes thousands, of people. Then again, one might say the same about Jaeyun himself. He'd been extremely shy at the start, and he still was, but one way or another he'd managed to navigate it and get comfortable, appearing almost confident even. Somehow, people seemed to enjoy the image he passed off, which felt quite good as it was genuine. He'd never been good at masking himself, even if he had wanted to.

Jaechan, also felt genuine as his eyes remained on Jaeyun's face as well, a soft glint to them that Jaeyun did not miss, but also did not interpret any other way than excitement for the event and his job. "Oh, I do actually enjoy them. And it's also a good way to learn a few things about how to act if I ever get a chance to go on those" The trainee replied with a light chuckle, his own hand coming up to rest over his upper arm, fingers pressing into the yellow fabric of his jacket. He'd managed to debut once, but it hadn't lasted all that long and as their company had been small and broke, they hadn't managed to get their chance to go on a lot of shows, so there was still a lot he had yet to experience.

As Jaechan explained further, Jake nodded shortly in understanding "Ah- That makes sense. I'm sure it will be quite popular with all the idols around" Jake let out, his eyes diverting briefly to the girls of DIA as they passed them by in bright and pretty fairy costumes. His gaze was then redirected to the host as he continued "These events are really popular with the fans, so it's a great chance to get an exclusive." As he said it, he noticed the exchanged glance between the host and his crew and he assumed they'd be resuming soon, so he prepared to step back, coming to a stop as the other questioned him about it.

He looked shortly between the camera being set up and the other male, lips parting slightly as he considered his options. He was still nervous around the camera, but it was not like he was not used to it by now, surely it would be nothing too difficult. But also, he was still just a trainee, so wouldn't the viewers prefer to get a sneak peek at some of the popular stars? "I..." He started, eyes glancing back towards the main entrance gauging whether Heeseung's group had arrived yet, but finding no one. He had nothing else to do but wait, so if the other was offering, "If your viewers would be interested?" He replied in a tone of question and a small hesitant smile, one of his hands coming up at the side of his neck while the other one slid into his pocket and fiddled with prop knives.

When the other questioned him about his name his expression changed to reflect the quiet surprise at the fact that Jaechan knew not only his given name but also the English one he'd been using as a 'stage name'. The host had certainly done his homework either for the event or simply for his show since joining DSF. "Oh, off-camera Jaeyun is fine. Jake is more of my online persona, but either works really" He offered, before gesturing towards the other with one hand "Is there a way you'd prefer I call you?"

@☾ jennie kim ʳᵘᵇʸ ʲᵃⁿᵉ Seeing that Jennie did not pull away Byulyi gently squeezed her hand. It was not much but at least it was somewhat calming for herself. “I know they won’t,” the older hummed, running her thumb slowly over the ridges of Jennie’s knuckles. “Consider it successful then-” Byulyi chuckled as Jennie lead her backwards, not stopping until the wall caused her to let out a small sound of surprise as she thudded against it. “-cause I agree.”

Her arms moved out a little as if by instinct, allowing Jennie as close as she wanted. She could hear her own heart throbbing in her chest, its beat louder than the beat from the nearby dance floor even. All from hearing those few words. “You are mine, Moon Byulyi.” She liked the sound of that, causing her lips to crack in a smile that might have seemed a bit too cocky for what the situation called for.

A smile that did not get any less confident after the younger pressed a kiss to her lips. “I like you and me,” she huskily talk-sang, pulling Jennie a little closer towards herself. “Dancing in the moonlight.” The song was still quite present in her mind, her constant little tinkering project when she was not working on something else.

Byulyi’s red eyes followed the hand gently running against the side of her head before focusing back in on the beauty it belonged to. “I know I keep flip-floppin’ on colors, but… Thank you.” She returned the favour, gently tucking a few strands of silken hair behind Jennie’s ear, using the movement to place her hand on the younger’s cheek. The trainer pulled her closer, gently catching her lips in a kiss. “No more surprises. I promise.”

@◈ moon byulyi ᴍᴏᴏɴʙʏᴜʟ⁻ʳᵃᵖ ᶜᵒᵃᶜʰ The explanation was underwhelming in itself and does almost nothing to extinguish the worry that crawled under her skin. A trainee being that bold without invitation is so truly odd. Not only is it insubordination as trainees are not allowed to be affiliated with anyone during these times but disrespectful. Someone needs to put this ‘ Yewon ‘ in her rightful place.

However, despite the lingering feelings of the big green monster and the nagging anxiety, she lets byulyi take her hand. “Compliments get you nowhere,” that was proven not true as jennies frowned morphs to a pout into hints of a small smile. “And I know i do. I wanted to look cute for when i saw you.” Slowly, she steps forward and begins crowding Byulyis space. Uncaring of anyone else around , jennie needed to let everyone know Byulyi was off the market. She walks her backwards until she back contact with the wall behind them.

“ you’re a good person and thats why i adore you, but i see the way she looks at you. it makes me uncomfortable, that whole incident made me uncomfortable. You are mine, Moon Byulyi. Okay? Mine.”

She punctuates the statement with a quick kiss to her lips. Jennie isn’t one to back down so easily. This will be dealt with but for tonight she wants to have Byulyi all to herself while they enjoy everything the night has to offer.

“And you look really good too , it’s almost distracting. Your hair is really suits you,” she reaches up with an affectionate hands, tucking some of the black strands behind byulyi’s ear. “Lets just enjoy tonight, yeah? No more surprises though.”

@☾ jennie kim ʳᵘᵇʸ ʲᵃⁿᵉ Jennie’s curt tone made Byulyi frown, wondering if whatever had happened earlier was lingering still as she stumbled after her. Though she had been harsh to Yewon there had been a truth to her words. Being that drunk in public was bad, both for yourself and those around you. Perhaps she disliked seeing people as drunk as Byulyi did too?

But all her questions got somewhat answered as they found a slightly more secluded spot and Jennie finally turned around to berate her with questions. It gave her little time to truly take in the view before her, one she would have normally delighted over if not for the air that surrounded them. And as per her usual M.O. she stood there letting Jennie empty out her questions before trying to answer.

“To take it one by one. One: That’s Yewon. One of the trainees at the company,” she began, lifting a single finger to keep track for herself. “And two-“ She lifted another finger, lips pursed in a thoughtful pout. “-I have no clue. I’d say the alcohol. That makes people-“ Byulyi frowned. “As for why I have not mentioned her, she’s just one of the many people I help out at the company. I don’ see what would be worth mentioning.”

She knew jealousy though. Even with explanations the tumultuous roar of emotions did not always make sense. So in hopes of calming the storm she glanced around, ensuring few were around to see as she reached for Jennie’s hand. “You look really cute in that.”

@◈ moon byulyi ᴍᴏᴏɴʙʏᴜʟ⁻ʳᵃᵖ ᶜᵒᵃᶜʰ “ uh huh,” her brief words are lost in the crowd of voices drowning out her own. She doesn’t spare Byuli a glance, instead she steamrolls through bodies until they reach a more quiet and suitable place for just the two of them to talk. thats when she finally lets go of byulyi’s arm to fully face her. jennie was far less jealous now, the fire that burned wildly in the pit of her stomach only replaced by sadness and growing anxiety. from the way things looked to her byulyi was more than comfortable having some girl fawn messily over her. a girl that was no where near jennie. an insult to injury, really.

“One: who was that girl? Two: why is she comfortable getting that close to you and why did you let her? Three- you know what? There’s no three. What the hell is going on between the two of you and why the hell have you not mentioned her to me?” There was an underlying desperation in her tone as she stares at the woman before her. The one she had come to know, to love and trust. Thats the thing about trust, unfortunately, it’s a very fickle thing and it’s something she doesn’t do quite often.

Byulyi was everything to her albeit they haven’t made it official or anything, jennie thought there was a mutual agreement between the two.
◈ moon byulyi ᴍᴏᴏɴʙʏᴜʟ⁻ʳᵃᵖ ᶜᵒᵃᶜʰ 6 days ago
@☾ jennie kim ʳᵘᵇʸ ʲᵃⁿᵉ A sudden flap of purple glitter hit Byulyi in the face, causing the trainer to stumble back against the stool behind her in surprise. It took the astigmatism a second to make out what exactly had just fluttered into view, her large wings seeming to shine and reflect with every light in the club to make for quite the spectacular light show. But as her eyes adjusted she saw the familiar silk like hair that draped down along the back of the slender figured before her. Where the hair did not cover was little else on view but skin, causing her to let out an audible huff of air.

That had to be cold.
But damn if her legs didn’t just look stunning.

It took another second for her mind to fully catch up to what just happened now that she realized Jennie had appeared before her like magic. From behind the younger’s back she could just faintly make out the harsh tone and words spoken, furrowing her brows a little at the approach. It could potentially do the trick, but it was certainly not the way she would have approached it herself, even if Yewon had seemed a bit too close for comfort.

Byul’s lips part to say a short greeting when Jennie turns towards her, but the look on her face was anything but please, shutting the older up where she stood. Well, where she had been standing, as the younger quickly seized her arm and dragged them towards the crowd of dancing bodies before them. All she could do was shoot a single apologetic look towards Yewon before the dance floor consumed the two.

“Thank the heavens you showed up,” she eventually sighed, unsure if her voice would be audible over the loud music. Leaning a little closer, she raised her voice and overly annunciated; “I was looking for you.”

@✵ choi yewon⁻ᵗʳᵃᶦⁿᵉᵉ @◈ moon byulyi ᴍᴏᴏɴʙʏᴜʟ⁻ʳᵃᵖ ᶜᵒᵃᶜʰ “I’m sure she would love to dance…. with me,” jennie bad her presence known having sat on the sidelines and watched for far longer than she would have liked. She steps between the two, forcing a wedge in between the small space and ultimately making the random girl recoil away. Jennie didn’t care if her wide glittery wings might’ve hit byul in the process either as she stands in the middle with arms crossed defensively over her chest and her dark brown eyes brooding, enraged with jealousy.

She had been looking everywhere for moonbyul since departing from her groupmates only to see whoever this was getting a little too close and a little too handsy with /her/ girl. Jennie’s nose scrunches up in disgust, the girl reeked of alcohol, no doubt drunk and her costume was lackluster to say the least. Ew. Tacky.

“ Thank you for asking for me. Oh! And a little piece of advice, sweetheart, getting drunk and throwing yourself all over people is trashy. If you can’t handle your liquor then you probably shouldn’t be at a party. Clean yourself up, this isn’t cute.” Jennie’s eyes trail over the length of her body, sizing her up and concludes she’s not much to look at. Not a threat by any means but was far too bold for someone jennie couldn’t even recognize or name. A nobody as far as she’s concerned and she won’t hesitate to let her know just that.

She says nothing more to the girl, whirling around to new face moonbyul. she looked stunning, beyond stunning truly but jennie was too pissed to care and her anger wasn’t just directed at no-named-alcoholic jane doe over there either.

“Lets go,” she grabs byuli’s arm quite literally tugging her from the bar into the sea of people on the dance floor.

@◈ moon byulyi ᴍᴏᴏɴʙʏᴜʟ⁻ʳᵃᵖ ᶜᵒᵃᶜʰ "Mhh saem~ does that really matter? Can't we talk about something else..?" she whined as she leaned back drunkenly, motioning over once more to the bartender who simply ignored her this time, shaking his head. Frustration was all over her face as an exasperated sigh pushed past her lips. She was acting bratty, which wasn't too out of character for her, but this time it was purely because she wanted, needed to prolong this high state she was in. In it, everything felt like a dream, everything she ever wished for was coming true. Without it, she'd be nothing but an empty shell.

It'd been hard to miss the way the older reacted to her, and Yewon took it as an invitation. The shocked look on her face, the way she stumbled to regain balance, and especially the oh so delicious way she spilt her drink. Yewon feasted in all those not-so-little details, biting the very corner of her bottom lip as she tried to contain the happiness which threatned to spill in the form of an amused giggle. She had not expected the trainer to be this easy to mess with. She'd ignored her initial comment, obviously, passing it as her being clearly too shy. Something about her not wanting to get haunted? Yeah, sure. Yewon was much too drunk to notice any type of change in the older's expression anyway.

Moonbyul went for the drink, and Yewon went for Moonbyul. The trainee stood up, suddenly feeling small as the other left the seat next to her. Her head was spinning fast, people becoming soft blurs in the background as their voices faded into a beautiful, heavy, thick melody that drowned her every thought. Yewon felt the need to keep a hand on the counter to balance herself, but nevertheless took a tentative step forward. The stool by her side didn't quite allow for a comfortable position and so she let go. Well, there was still a need for balance, so one could surely guess what needed to happen next.

Already familiar with the fabric of Moonbyul's costume, Yewon brought her hands up to meet the space between the coat and the older's collarbones, lingering no longer than a quick look before moving up to her shoulders. The trainee wasted no time as she lunged forward, stopping just before their bodies touched. Her left hand parted ways with the warmth of Moonbyul's shoulder, only to timidly find its home in the nape of her neck as the trainee's lips just barely hovered the older's ear. There was lust in her movements, but there was also love... and fear.

"Say saem, would you like to dance?" the trainee offered provocativelly, this time not allowing herself to part with the inviting scent she felt by the other's collar.
◈ moon byulyi ᴍᴏᴏɴʙʏᴜʟ⁻ʳᵃᵖ ᶜᵒᵃᶜʰ 6 days ago
@✵ choi yewon⁻ᵗʳᵃᶦⁿᵉᵉ With her red drink in hand Byulyi had turned back towards the dancing crowds, hoping to catch a glimpse of who she really was looking for there. Certainly she had to be here. She was not the kind of woman to leave this early, right? Maybe she would make an exception tonight? Or perhaps it was Byulyi herself that had to make the exception, staying at the party to ensure Jennie got to have a fun night. That was certainly a talk they would have to have at some point.

Spotting no sight of the beauty she sought Byulyi eased up a little, knowing being tense would not help with the stress of the whole party. It was better for her to relax and enjoy the few moments of jokes and chit-chat with Yewon until then, knowing that her worries would only grow if she just sat there dwelling on them.

But said moment of relaxation seemed to be short lasted. She felt a slight thud against her chest, her head snapping back just in time to see Yewon grab a hold of her coat and tug her closer. She took a stumbled step out of her chair, the sound of liquids hitting the ground behind her hinting to her drink just having joined the sticky coating on the floor. At least her hand had tensed up with the rest of her body, ensuring the glass did not join it to go off like a sparkly grenade of crystal between everyone’s legs.

Her eyes widened as Yewon leaned closer. The hell was going on?

The trainer was still standing there a bit shocked when Yewon had let go, barely having been able to register what the younger had said. The scent of her alcohol-stained breath still hung in the air, making Byulyi’s head feel heavy from the fumes. She craned her neck back a little, hoping to escape the scent and get herself a bit more space from the other. It was not as if the gap between them had physically gotten much smaller, but it certainly felt a lot closer than it had been, to an almost claustrophobic degree.

Once she had been given a moment to recompose herself, catching the woman’s gaze moving over her, Byulyi finally went to answer. “I was kinda tryin’ to say I DIDN’ want to get haunted, feel me?” Her intention had never been to wrinkle her nose at it, yet she could not stop her own reaction as she thought about it. And what was with the tone? How drunk was the trainee?

Was the air in there dry? felt parched all of a sudden, as if a desert wind had just sandblasted and tried to block her airways. Spotting the slight remains of pinkish-red liquid still in her glass, Byulyi hurriedly went to down the rest, letting the syrupy sweet sourness of the drink trickle down to give some relief.

Another short-lived endeavour as Yewon hit her with another line sounding far too flirtatious. She knew they had gotten along when they had met before, but what was all this? Byulyi glanced from the now empty glass on the counter next to Yewon to the woman herself. Perhaps it had been the lenses making her sight worse than usual, or perhaps she had just let her guard down far too much from having seen a familiar face, but now that she was looking closer there was no doubt that Yewon was sloshed.

“H-how many of those have you had?” the trainer asked, worry clearly tinging her tone as a singular delicate finger lifted up to point at the glass. No wonder her breath had smelled like lighter fluid with how hammered she was.
✵ choi yewon⁻ᵗʳᵃᶦⁿᵉᵉ 6 days ago
@◈ moon byulyi ᴍᴏᴏɴʙʏᴜʟ⁻ʳᵃᵖ ᶜᵒᵃᶜʰ "Mh~" the trainee hummed boringly as she sank further into the stool, nodding ever so slightly. She was known to be rather expressionless, but for now it was extremely clear she couldn't hide the disappointment as the trainer didn't seem to be going along with her game, returning to that same position she took once she sat down, back against the counter as a hint of a pout ghosted across her lips. Yewon allowed her head to fall back slightly, orbs more or less focused on the ceiling lights, which at the moment much resembled stars in the night sky as the world slowly spun around her, before closing them to fully enjoy the blissful weightlessness of her intoxication.

In less than what one would say were a few seconds, there was a presence on her side, closer but not nearly close enough, a presence that ignited some type of fire within her. The hot breath on her neck sent shivers down her back, where the tiny little droplets of sweat danced in excitement, and that's when she knew; any type of self-restraint the alcohol hadn't yet erased, was now gone. The younger's eyes flew right open, that same flirtatious smirk growing on her lips after a moment of shock as she ce more to face the trainer, crossing her legs and leaning over, closer than she'd ever been. 'So she is playing, after all'.

Her hand made contact with the lapel of Moonbyul's jacket and her fingers danced around it before she lightly tugged on it, pulling the trainer just an inch closer as she herself leaned in even more, her free hand coming to rest on the other side of the older's stool for support. She was close enough to feel the faint smell of the older's perfume, mixed with the liquorous scent of her own drink, and it was even more intoxicating than anything she'd had that night.

"That depends, would you want me to?" she whispered in the other's ear before finally letting go of her and dropping back into her own chair, taking another tasteful sip of her drink with that same smirk. Her eyes followed the triangle method, something she'd read around the internet somewhere, as she practically stared at the older through heavy-lidded orbs. First, her right eye. Her focus lingered there for a split second before parting with the sight, landing on her rather plump lips, noticing just now how the costume-y fangs peeked provocativelly through them. The trainee allowed herself to focus on them for a while longer, the grin growing on her own lips before she brought her attention back to the older's eyes. Something in her told her that her reaction would please her, everything in Moonbyul's body language suggested so after all. That little something was definitely the alcohol running through her system.

Yewon completely ignored the other's question, she'd much rather focus on what she had just said. Her head fell incredulously as a short laugh escaped her lips. She couldn't believe this was happening, and in such an open space too? The moody ambience certainly contributed to the vibe, and Yewon was not letting go of it, now that Moonbyul had started it. The trainee roughly pulled out the neon straw from her glass, setting it aside on her napkin before downing the rest of her drink, later returning the cup to where it stood previously, turning once more to the trainer with a fake-innocent expression darkening her face.

"Who says I don't want you to?"
◈ moon byulyi ᴍᴏᴏɴʙʏᴜʟ⁻ʳᵃᵖ ᶜᵒᵃᶜʰ 6 days ago
@✵ choi yewon⁻ᵗʳᵃᶦⁿᵉᵉ “Well, no, not really,” Byulyi was quick to reply, not wanting the younger to think that she had not expected to see her there at all. Most everyone at DSF was here so it should be no surprise the trainees would be here too. And the last thing she wanted after what happened when they last crossed paths was for Yewon to think she was calling her boring as well. “Half of DSF is here, and I’m guessin’ the other half left before I even got here.” The trainer flashed an awkward smile, the fangs fully on display.

“Just me, huh?”
She glanced up and down Yewon’s costume before leaning closer, whispertalking over the loud music as if she was trying to keep a secret. “You’re not try’na tell me you’re an actual ghost right? I shouldn’t fear you hovering on the roof when I wake up in the middle of the night?” The smile from before grew a bit more relaxed, finally being able to joke a bit with someone familiar. “No fearing you standin’ there behind me in the mirror when I close my bathroom cabinet?”

Byulyi eased back, straightening her coat a little and adjusting the collar to let some more air sneak in around her chest. Who knew putting on light makeup like this could feel so stuffy. Not enough to wear it would seem indecent, but definitely enough to show off a little cleavage. Tastefully so. Vampirishly seductive, one could say.

“In turn I will promise not to eat and drain you either,” she stated, giving a single nod. She raised her hands, forming a holy cross over her chest. “Cross my heart and hope to un-die again, or somethin like that.” The trainer let out another short snort at her own terrible joke before reaching for her drink again. “So, how has the night been treatin’ you so far?”

@◈ moon byulyi ᴍᴏᴏɴʙʏᴜʟ⁻ʳᵃᵖ ᶜᵒᵃᶜʰ Pure bliss. That's what Yewon felt.

"Are you that surprised to see me?" the younger pushed as a response to the trainer's reaction as she slowly leaned forward, a pretty smirk covering her lips as she temptingly looked up at the other through clouded eyes, her hand coming to rest on her own knee to keep her from losing balance. It wasn't just the alcohol making her act this way, she'd been wanting to do it for the longest time, but at least now she could blame it on the drinks she had prior.

The trainee couldn't stop staring at her. The alcohol in her system mixed with the club lights made Moonbyul glow, more than she usually does anyway, and time seemed to stop at that moment. It was like they were in their own soundproof bubble, and Yewon could feel herself getting bolder as the last few sips she took of her drink finally kicked in.

She leaned her side on the counter with a bit too much force, the tingling still making it hard to control her movements. As her elbow hit the top and she then rested her chin on her hand, prompting her leg up to now rest over the other, the younger gave the trainer a brief laugh and whispered to herself, eyes glistening with the lights form the top of the bar as they focused on the other's, just now realizing the older was wearing contacts. 'Cute'.

Yewon her lips, suddenly missing the burn of alcohol in , and so she prompted herself up, using her now free hand to once more take a sip from her cup. The ice and the alcohol blended together, both contributing to the numbing sensation she so desperately needed. She set the glass down and rested her hand on her lap as she drunkily smirked back at the trainer, glassy-eyed, a blush (that at this point she couldn't tell had come from the drinks or from being in this type of environment with Byul) covering her cheeks.

@✵ choi yewon⁻ᵗʳᵃᶦⁿᵉᵉ The costumes, decorations and people of the club all seemed to mash into one incoherent mush of colors before her. Even when Byulyi tried to focus she could feel her eyes straining against the lenses as they tried to focus. They would definitely not last too long, that much was for certain. But she could not help the slightly vain want to show it off either. She had done a lot to get dolled up for this and at least she could reap a few compliments and crack a few jokes, right?

She gave another sip to her drink as she scanned the scenery in front of her, hoping that she would make out something… Anything… that would lead her to find the woman she was looking for. Her lips pursed, in a slight breath of air that roiled the liquid in a bit before she swallowed it.

At least it was an okay drink, for whatever that was worth.

“Hey teach.”

The surprise of hearing a familiar voice right beside her was enough to make Byulyi choke a bit on her drink, letting out a few coughs to clear her airways. The fingers holding onto the glass had gone from loose to quite strained, hoping she had spilled as little as possible before finally placing it onto the bar counter. God, she was making a fool of herself in front of a student, and not because of her jokes. Stupid… stupid…

“Ye-“ Byulyi stopped to cough a bit again, feeling as if the liquid finally loosened and allowed her to take a proper breath. “Yewon. Hey!” Smooth Byullie, she chastised herself mentally. Smooth. Her arm came up to casually lean against the counter again, more to have a grip on where anything was in the muddy mess of colors than an attempt to look suave. “Cool party, right?”

If she could have crumpled up and disappeared she would have, but instead she just let out a short laugh. “Okay, ignore my question, that was… Just not it.” She closed her eyes tightly, batting her eyelashes a bit in an attempt to focus. Luckily Yewon was sitting close enough that she could make out her facial features and her costume. “Oh damn, look at you. Schppoookeh. Snuck up on anyone else and given them a little fright yet? Like… Any of the DIA girls?”
Smooooth, Byullie….
Smooooth.

@✵ shim jaeyun⁻ᵗʳᵃᶦⁿᵉᵉ There was something about the way the music was pounding in the trainee's ears, drowning all and every thought she might've been having had she been drinking home alone as she usually does. Something about it was almost... comforting. Well, that's why she drank away as often now anyway, to shoo away the nightmares and the jumbled mess of cries and thoughts screaming inside her. At least now, she gets to feel something, and it's pleasant. The tingly almost numbing sensation flows through her body as she lazily plays with the empty cup in front of her, her finger running around the rim as if chasing itself, the movement almost making her dizzy.

She could tell she looked drunk. It was a task to keep her eyes open, as they seemed to prefer this half-closed half-open position, and though before she felt as light as a whisper, now her every movement felt heavy and constrained, all the more deepening that same tingling sensation with every microscopic movement of her finger. The trainee allowed her hand to fall down flat on the counter as the other was assigned the job of making sure her head didn't fall, supporting it for so long she could feel the sharp pain now intensifying on her wrist, but she didn't bother to move. She didn't care all that much.

That was until she felt a presence next to her. Uninterestedly, the trainee straightened her back, allowing some much deserve rest to her wrist that was now throbbing as it fell victim to gravity and swayed as it hang limply by her side.

The girl sighed. The only company she wanted and desperately needed right now had just left, and were it not for the ungodly amount of alcohol she'd ingested, she'd be depressing as opposed to this somewhat okay state she was in. She seemed to reach down on her pocket, hand fumbling with something as she turned to he trainee in front of her. She shoved the device in his face as she pressed the power button, though the device showed no signs of being alive. That wasn't the reason she didn't text him, but luckily it'd be enough to drive him away.

Yewon nodded only in response to his question as she dropped her phone on the counter, the dizziness already threatning to dissipate. She looked down at her half-assed costume, imagining the makeup she spent a total of 5 minutes on basically gone after her little bathroom trip. She hated it, but it was either that she made something up, or she'd look weird by not bringing in a costume.

The numbness was starting to come back to her, and not the good type of numbness she has familiarized herself with the past couple of hours. She needed to stop it.

Well, what are people for if not for being used?

Yewon turnedd to the boy she had practically been ignoring for the last couple minutes with a smirk covering her lips, eyes hazy as she placed a hand softly on his shoulder.

"Will you order something for me?"

@◈ moon byulyi ᴍᴏᴏɴʙʏᴜʟ⁻ʳᵃᵖ ᶜᵒᵃᶜʰ Yewon felt like she was under water, the loud music playing around her now drowned out, only leaving the intense vibrations of the bass to pulsate through her entire body, body which was by now light as a feather, much as if floating, every movement requiring less and less energy by the minute. She couldn't remember how long it had passed since she'd sat back down at the far end of the bar, but as her now empty cup would suggest, it had to have been a while. Either that, or she simply downed the whole thing and forgot about it. Nevertheless, her eyes had been focused on one thing and on one thing only, and that would be the breathtaking vampire that sat just a few stools over.

The trainee didn't drink often, probably because she had a tendecy to overdo it, which only resulted in her feeling like the next day, however, it seemed like more and more often, Yewon had been turning to it for comfort and right now, as a multitude of thoughts and ideas spun around in her head, colliding with eachother and blending together towards absolute nonsense, it felt like the perfect moment for another drink.

Taking hold of the very empty cup on the counter, the girl shakily grabbed it and brought the glass to her lips, awaiting for the last drops of bliss to slither down towards the tip of her tongue before practically slamming the object on the counter, calling for the bartender one more time as he gave her a weird glance, certainly wondering if she was too far gone for another drink. After a not-so-convincing nod accompanied by a rather out of character thumbs up from her, the drink was placed on the counter, along with a 'That's the last one' from the man that seemed to be examining her up and down. Yewon pouted, muttering something along the lines of 'You're no fun' as she comically jumped off her stool, drink in hand.

She wasn't thinking straight. Rather, she wasn't thinking at all. A few stumbly steps later, and she was standing right where she needed to be. She set the drink on the counter once more, doing her very best to control every muscle in her right arm so she wouldn't let go of the drink, and sat down on the cushiony leather stool, her back facing the bar initially as her elbows rested on top of the counter, position which, in her mind, felt very comfortable, natural and, on top of everything, seductive.

With a gummy smile and her unknowingly flushed cheeks, Yewon raised her right leg to step on the stool's footrest, going for a sip as she made use of the rotation provided by the flexible stool under her to turn towards the older.

@☼ jeon jungkook ʳᵒᵐᵉᵒ @☼ hwang hyunjin The ride to the event was nothing short of the usual Janus chaos and their arrival was as calm as one could claim when your members included Hyunjin and Jungkook, as well as the new additions. Saying that Wooyoung was the wood that fueled the already burning fire would be an understatement. He was more like flammable liquid. Thankfully, he and San had arrived earlier, which left Hanbin to deal with the other two. Believe it or not, it was significantly less taxxing than it had been through their first couple of years. Even if it did not exactly appear so as he was pushed off of the van by a giant carrot. To much confusion of the hired photographers, Hanbin, dressed in all green for Peter Pan, ran off through the small carpet chased off by a very white and very fluffy rabbit Jungkook.

The interaction took a total of a few seconds, giving the photographers barely any time to react and snap any pictures as the plushie carrot managed to hit Hanbin's back a couple of times while he attempted to dodge the attacks on his way into the venue. Yet, once by the door he did turn to grasp at the orange fluff, holding it still as he swiftly used his foot to give the younger's a light playful kick before motioning for him to go back so they could join Hyunjin for the short photo session.

As the three stepped up side by side, and although they were missing a few members, Hanbin still offered the Janus greeting as well as their pre-set gesture for a few of the pictures, before switching to some morr 'Peter Pan' inspired poses, pushing off the uncomfortableness of the pants and how ridiculous he probably looked.

◈ park jaechan⁻ʳᵃᵈᶦᵒ ʰᵒˢᵗ 1 week ago
@✵ shim jaeyun⁻ᵗʳᵃᶦⁿᵉᵉ The story of how Jaechan even came to know about Jake was quite simple. To put it shortly, the host had been scrolling around on twitch as he procrastinated studying when he found him streaming some game with a couple friends. Needless to say, it had been nonstop ever since. He'd watch every stream, follow him and every single one of his friends on social media just in case he might pop up somewhere, he even attended most of the events hosted by the company he'd eventually joined, as much as school and work would allow him at least. If Jaechan could live off of following Jake around, he would, but bills are bills and the host was glad he had been able to find something he enjoyed doing, but specially something that allowed him to be this close to him.

Which eventually led the both of them to this exact moment. The younger didn't know what was worse, that he was sweating buckets as his hands fidgeted nervously in his back pockets right in front of Jake, or that his heart was pounding this wildly on his chest that one close enough would probably be able to hear it. Luckily for him, the rather loud music coming from the inside along with the chatter around then seemed to be just enough for him to dismiss that second option, though the way the blood was just as quickly being pumped into his system did nothing to calm his nerves.

'Oh, not at all, you should get to enjoy the event too!'

That was most certainly his plan. He would enjoy following Jake around for a bit once he finished all the interviews, that's why he was there in the first place. His little corner was nothing but an excuse for him to be there, because how else would he get access to such a private event? Jaechan couldn't really believe he was here however, right in front of him. He'd seen him so many times, in so many different places, but never this up close. There were so many new details to explore, small things even the cameras could not capture, and Jaechan took his sweet time to really admire every inch of the other's face, just barely missing his next few words.

He knew about him? He'd seen his show. Deep down inside, the host knew people watched J's Factory for the guests and the guests only, and that was undoubtedly the case for Jake as well, but lost in the moment, as one would say, Jaechan allowed himself to be delusional. Just this one time. Everything revolved around Jake, even the name he gave his own show was a play on how the first blocks of their names were the same. His instagram and twitter handles, everything he could think of, he'd make sure to include Jake in it. It was his little secret, and it made him happy.

"Oh- thank you, thank you, I didn't think trainees would be interested in stuff like that" he managed to say, nervously as the hands on his pockets now dropped to his side, fighting the urge to meet in an anxious battle in front of him. Despite what people might think, the host was a rather shy and introverted person. The mask he put on during his shows was something he could only really wear in front of the cameras, and that was something he hated. He was jealous of himself. If he could just be the extroverted, witty, playful Jaechan people knew, he'd have a lot less of a hard time guiding himself through life.

Jaechan eyes followed Jake's, eventually landing on where his staff were rearranging and checking their equipment. They seemed to be almost done, as the quick glance and nod he got from his camera guy indicated, so Jaechan himself glanced at his wrist to check they still had a couple minutes before returning, but they'd have to be quick, unfortunately.

"Ah yes, yes, we were invited by the company to do some type of coverage on the carpet. The idea of doing a live stream came up and the ceos approved so.. here we are." the host explain, offering the other a shy yet wide smile as he roughly pressed on his thumb, now unable to control his hands, his eyes sparkling with admiration as he wondered if he should just go for it.

"I'm guessing you wouldn't mind joining in- Jaeyun or Jake, how should I-?"

@✵ choi yewon⁻ᵗʳᵃᶦⁿᵉᵉ After the short interaction with the radio host, Jaeyun had lingered around the area for a little longer, watching Jaechan talking to the camera and inteeviewing whatever other guests that approached his small corner. It took a while for Heeseung's van to finally show and it was only then that Jake finally headed further into the party, now accompanied.

From then on it was mostly easy, just hanging around, talking, dancing and mingling as he stuck by Heeseung's side and among the other trainees. The night was going by easily and he'd entirely forgotten about his insistence with Yewon earlier. That was, until he took a break from the others to get a bottle of water from the bar, a choice that lead him straight into the girl herself as she sat by the counter, seemingly by herself.

He offered the bar person a short word of gratitude as he took the bottle and weaved his way through the bodies to get to her, a small smile tugging at his lips as he slid into the stool beside her. "So you did show!" He let out enthusiastically over the music. He glanced around briefly as if in search for anyone who would be keeping Yewon company before facing her again "You should have texted me, the others have been hanging out near the stage area" He added, entirely missing the possibility that she might not have wished to join them. Still, he did slip his phone out of his pocked just to swipe away at the notifications to make sure he hadn't missed it before putting it away again and motioning towards the other trainee, deciding yo stick with her despite the lack of invitation or enthusiasm from her "Your costume, a ghost?"

The drink finally arrived being gingerly placed on the counter before her. Byulyi grabbed it, flashing a fanged smile at the bartender and giving a quick nod of appreciation before turning back towards the crowd. She leaned back, an elbow rested against the bar as she raised the cocktailglass to her nose, giving the blood-red liquid a quick sniff. No scent of alcohol but for the one already hanging in the air. The trainer wrinkled her nose a little a nodded to herself. Good good.

She would take occasional sips of the drink as she scanned the dancefloor, cursing the ty costume lenses and her lack of glasses beneath her breath. Most people looked like an incoherent blob or mass of colorful blurs, none really standing out enough to see but the few that would walk past close enough for her eyes to really focus.

No Jennie yet.

Or at least, she did not think she had seen Jennie yet. But she was quite sure she would recognize that gorgeous face anywhere. That or her body. She was not that nearsighted, right?

And yet she stood there for what had felt like half an hour, though Byulyi was sure it could not have been more than a minute or two. Parties like these had a certain way to make her stress feel heightened, her shoulders tensing a bit more than usual from all the rowdiness. It would be worth it when she found Jennie somewhere in the sea of people, but right now it felt a bit like hell.

The last of the liquid in the glass poured down before she turned back to the counter, ordering another copy of the exact drink. The same pattern repeated. Turn to the crowd. Quick sniff of the glass. Take a sip. Scout.
She knew Jennie was there, and Jennie knew she would arrive at some point too. Hopefully the two would stumble across each other at some point.

◈ park junhee⁻ᵖʳᵒᵈᵘᶜᵉʳ 1 week ago
@◈ lee donghun⁻ᵐᵃⁿᵃᵍᵉʳ Still avoiding the public eye for the most part, Junhee had skimmed by the front entrance with only a curt but polite greeting directed at the photographers, but no stop for a photo session. Whatever pictures they got of him walking up would be enough. His costume was not elaborate enough either way, as he wasn't entirely invested and had simply thrown on whatever clothes he could make use of into a semblance of a pirate. It might not be entirely accurate, but he'd still styled it carefully enough to look good, which was usually his main point.

He'd spent the couple of hours mingling, finding fellow staff members and familiar faces, while avoiding others. As the event quickly picked up, so did some of the activities prepared to entertain the guests. Currently, a host stood on a small stage towards the front, calling out random names for karaoke duets. Some of the folks were belting out the notes like they were being evaluated, while some were a little too tipsy or simply chose to lean more into the comedic aspect, which was a good choice when the randomly picked song did not quite fit their style.

As two trainee girls were called up on stage next, Junhee leaned against the bar counter where he had a nice view of the improvised performances. He absent-mindedly twists the tall glass between his fingers, the drink sloshing inside of it as his eyes remained on the stage. The corners of his lips curl up in amusement as one of the girl's attempts to rap to one of Janus' songs, intentionally exaggerating an imitation of Changkyun's tone. Once the song comes to an end, the crowd claps and whistles in cheering at the girls incredibly entertaining rendition, his own hands coming up to clap along, or as best qs he could with the glass still in his hold.

The host is back on stage once more, sliding a smooth compliment at the girls and requesting one last round of applause as they got off stage, handing the mics back to staff at the edge of the stairs. Junhee brings the drink to his lips, as the host resumes talking, announcing the next duo. "The next pair is made up of two of DSF recent additions!" The male let out excitedly, eyes down on the two papers he'd been handed from off-stage. His eyes then surveyed the crowd for a moment in search of his targets as he spoke out the first name, the words immediately catching Jun's attention. "Park Junhee? Is he around?" He questions as he grazes the guests and the producer's lips twist into a small hesitant smile. It had been a while since he'd been on stage, even for small events like this, even for something so private and informal. Still, he was not usually one to say no to such things, and hence he drained the remainder of his drink and set the glass down on the counter as he pushed himself off his spot. He headed for stage, picking up the mic on his way and responding to the host's cheerful greeting as he was spotted. The host looks back down at the other paper for some suspense, and Junhee's eyes scan the multiple possibilities, his eyes landing on Donghun just as the other name is pronounced.

Yewon was bored out of her mind. It had been well over an hour since she had arrived, and seeing as to how she had been quite late herself, the trainee wondered if she should simply give up and go home. She'd been sitting in the farthest barstool from the entrance, spinning her chair mindlessly with one elbow resting on the counter as she leaned in slightly, her chin propped up on her hand as she entertained herself by either taking a few sips of her 3rd drink or playing with the neon green plastic straw. After over 30 minutes, the trainee quit trying to focus all her attention on looking for the older, instead giving the room a quick scan every couple of minutes, to no avail.

With the 3rd drink now fully coating her stomach, Yewon dizzily got up to go to the bathroom, naturally making sure she didn't leave her phone behind despite clearly being a bit too tipsy to remember why exactly she just so needed to bring the device with her and not simply leave it on the counter.

Before she could even make it there, she took one last look around the club. People were having fun, some were dancing, some were huddling in the booths as they carried along with their conversations, laughter filling the air and only really being overpowered by the loud music coming from the speakers right next to the stage. She sighed, what was she even doing there?

As she entered the bathroom, the trainee headed towards the sink area the freshen up, splashing some water on the ground in the process. She rest her hands on the outside of the sink, body drunkily leaning in as she turned to herself in the mirror, chuckling at her state. After a while, the trainee finally decided she'd had enough and she should just head home. If she hadn't arrived yet, it was unlikely she was even coming at all.

She determinedly made her way towards the bar once more to check if she had indeed not left anything else behind, and after pushing by a couple of people that refused the allow her some space to pass through, she stopped. She was there, after all. Yewon quickly took the spot she had previously occupied, which was now by pure luck almost completely hidden behind people, allowing her to stealthily peek over at the trainer, hopefully without being noticed.

She looked stunning, and Yewon simply could not take her eyes off of her. The alcohol running through her system kept prompting her to just get up and go stand next to her, say something to her, but she was not that far gone, and she still remembered what had happened not too long ago. The trainee allowed her eyes to leave the older for a few seconds as she ordered herself on more drink, reaching for her phone to check how long she'd been there one more time.

Byulyi had been one of the last ones to arrive, stumbling her way onto the carpet by the entrance as the camera crews were packing up. She managed to award one of the few that had not fully packed up a few pictures, posing as seductively as she could. That is what a vampire did, was it not? She gave the camera the best bed room eyes she could manage, her purple gel nails framing the red contacts in her eyes like claws for a predator to look through. It felt oddly good to embody a character like that in front of the camera.
With a couple of bows to the camera man she hurried inside, letting the long sleeves of her dark coat drape down over her fingers.

She had come here with a mission. Parties were not usually her forte, the smell of alcohol and the rowdiness usually too much for her to take. But like the vampire she portrayed with her pale makeup and fake fangs, she slid through the loud club in search of a certain group of fairies. Well, one fairy in particular.

Every now and then she had to give the dark strands of hair dipping into her face a light puff of air to see, already obstructed enough by the red contacts as she scanned around through the crowds. Everywhere there was loud music and people dancing, but Byulyi kept silently stalking through the dance floor towards the bar.

“Cranberry cosmopolitan-” she managed to get out past her lips, luckily not sending the glued on fangs flying. “-, please”

@◈ park jaechan⁻ʳᵃᵈᶦᵒ ʰᵒˢᵗ The party goes on around them but Jaeyun's eyes are on the vocal coach with the white pearly costume and the joker whose voice he'd heard multiple times on the radio show but whose face he had never truly seen. Even right now it was only just partially recognizable due to the heavy makeup. He listened as the girl responded to the question and the host went on to compliment the costume once more, asking the fans to share their personal favorites of the night before bidding farewell with a smile.

Next thing he knows, the girl is helped out of the small stand and the host is looking for his next guest, which just so happens to be him. It had not entirely been his intention to join, but as he'd gotten close to the front to listen in, and no one else seemed to be waiting at the moment, he was now next in line. Still, he does glance around for a moment just to make sure the small smile had been directed at him. No invitation was thrown his way though, so he didn't move just yet, gaze switching between the cameraman and the host, who ended up calling for a short break instead. Jaeyun had barely just arrived, but the other had probably been doing these interviews for a while now, so it was only fair he took a few minutes off as well.

Even with no interviews to witness or partake in, the trainee stood around as he was still waiting on Heeseung. After a couple of minutes, he was approached by the Joker, to whom he offered a small greeting of his own before bringing his hands up to dismiss the other's apology. "Oh, not at all, you should get to enjoy the event too!" He offers with a small smile. At the question, he gestures towards the banner "I was actually just watching since I recognized the name!" He lets out a little excitedly before motioning towards the male himself "I've listened to your show a few times, you're a really good host!" Jaeyun compliments lightly, but honestly. The other was rather good at keeping the conversation going and making the most of what his guests offered him. He'd only listened a couple of times, but it had been quite entertaining. Glancing back at where the cameraman was reorganizing the equipment and testing another microphone, Jayun faces the host again "You mentioned tuning in again, so I'm assuming it is live streaming?"
