@✵ choi yeonjun⁻ᵗʳᵃᶦⁿᵉᵉ "Awh, ain't that a bummer, I'm gonna have to make it up to you then, right? What will it be?" the shorter full on pouts, tilting his head to the side. "He hasn't spilled a word, not even your name, didn't want me to find you. I only found out he had a little brother from a selfie on his phone when he was showing me someth-- what now--" his own hand left hanging limply in the air as *Yeonjun*, huh fancy, retracted his and bowed instead, which only made him roll his eyes "Known me all of 20 seconds and already sneaking away, did San put you up for it? Lord knows *he* did his best to block me from getting in his pants."
Okay so maybe outright stating his ual preference may not have been the brightest idea in any other setting, but Yeonjun was also under the company, Wooyoung had learned, meaning he - contractually! - was not allowed to hurt the company's image and spread 'false' rumors about other idols.
Wooyoung did his best not to let his thoughts doom crash into the unfairness of South Korea's culture regarding LGBT - and especially not when The Choi Yeonjun he had tracked for so long was now standing not two feet away.
"Aight, so as you saw the shots really don't contain any actual Milkis - only soju, beer, and sprite - so why Milkis?" he started, already doing what he does best: yap. Meanwhile, he took a cloth napkin and folded it twice, placing it over the glass and covering it with his palm so his knobby fingers created a cage around the rim "Well, you gotta bring out the Milkis color somehow, right? So, listen carefully, and come closer so you can see better - this will be on the test later" he beckoned with a finger, as if he was really teaching Yeonjun something very serious as the music pounded in their ears "You take the glass from the top like this, make sure nothing spills, then you smack it against your palm..." a thump against his open palm and the liquid turned milky white due to the rapid mixing of the contents, "and quickly swirl it to kill the carbonation, nobody likes a gassy... nevermind" with the same hand he swirled it and slid it in front of Yeonjun - all of this happened in the matter of a couple seconds "And drink it immediately, don't lose the Milkis! And remember, don't spill a drop!"
@☼ jung wooyoung yeonjun, taken by surprise, recoils away from the sudden presence beside of him; he turns his head so quick he could’ve strained it. His eyes widen behind the mask as he takes in the sight of the person next to him. It wasn’t just any person, it was Wooyoung from Janus. Wooyoung from Janus had been looking for him?
Yeonjun had to look behind him to make sure that it was him that Wooyoung had been talking to. Whaaaaat?
He doesn’t get two words out before the bartender is setting out the line of shots for the two of them.
Think Jun, think! He’s ing talking to you, say something.
“You definitely scared me,” he replies , and it was in fact the truth. Scared him less just then. “And of course I do, i guess my older brother hasn’t told you much about me but even if he did, it probably would be wrong anyway. He’s kind of slow.” Another truth. Yeonjun relaxes against the bar yet again and sticks a hand out towards the idol- oh maybe that was too informal. He quickly retracts it and instead he settles for bowing out of respect for his senior. He wanted to make a good impression at least.
“Anyway, i’m yeonjun I’m guessing you already know that though. Seniors first, go ahead and the rookie how it’s done.”
@✵ choi yeonjun⁻ᵗʳᵃᶦⁿᵉᵉ "Make them four, and make them milkis. Hey, dollface, I been looking for you all evening."
//slides right into the empty space between you and a bar stool, leaning one elbow on the counter and grinning at the masked face up front/
"I'm Jung Wooyoung, and your brother has been trying to hide you from me for months. Am I really that scary, what do you think?"
//searches the mask for any slit where I can spot a facial feature, wondering if the bone structure is passed through the genes - because obviously, San drew the short end of the stick height-wise - glancing to the bartender for a second to make sure he is mixing right - half shot of soju, half shot Korean beer, half shot sprite - before turning back to you/
You know how to drink those, right?
somehow in the midst of transitioning from the carpet and into the building, the thai dancer had seemingly lost her two friends. despite adding some inches to her already tall self, she can’t find them in the swarm of bodies.
goddammit
she under her breath , she hoped the two would find their way back to her on their own
as excited as jun was to attend his first ever DSF event as a member of the company himself, he felt more so like an outcasted loner. Not just any loner but the kind from 90’s teen movies at prom who couldn’t get a date or have any friends. Where was yunjin anyway? She hadn’t texted , ironic since she literally threatened him to be here. Tch.
This wasn’t like him at all, usually he’s jumping in the crowds, doing body shots with random strangers- he was the fun guy anyone could count on for a good time.
“Be careful of your actions,” his agents words ring loud in his head as he recalls them, “you finally mad it to the big leagues it would be unwise to spoil it of a night of fun that you would hardly remember anyway.” Much to Yeonjuns dismay, but he wasn’t in the Philippines anymore. He was an idol in training.
He was at a company party, he should be able to have all the fun he wants. To hell with that. He fingers twitch, eyes glancing over the bar before making his way over, arms sliding against the bar counter.
“Uhhhh the usual soju shot for me please- actually make that two, thank you.”

this is a week-warning for last post and threads in this event room.
please wrap up your threads, as the rooms will be closed in the following week]
@◈ lee minho ʟᴇᴇ ᴋɴᴏᴡ⁻ᶜʰᵒʳᵉᵒᵍʳᵃᵖʰᵉʳ /the reaction was a little awkward but not entirely negative and Hanbin didn't miss the small step back, opting to give the other his space and instead move to sit over one of the white sofas/
I guess you were lucky then... If someone else found you they might have gotten the wrong idea
/he teased once more, taking a long sip from the tall yet thin glass he'd gotten from the bar and which would soon need a refill/
Don't worry... Whatever is up between you guys is not really my business, I'll still tease you for it but I won't be harassing you with questions or anything
/he responded in a lighter tone in hopes to reassure the other. Solar hadn't really told him much, but the way she'd asked him to see what the older told him was enough of a clue. still, much like he said, it was not really his business, so he dropped it for now, instead adressing the other's question with a shrug of his shoulders/
As for myself, there is unfortunately nothing to share, same usual you'd know from us, work, stress and not much else...
@☼ kim hanbin *the alcohol certainly wasn't helping Minho in the moment, his ears flushing red at the comment of no doors being able to lock himself in anywhere*
Haha - *he laughs nervously, staggering back a step with a bit of his leftover beverage slopping over the rim*
No, yeah, that's a good one
No doors locked here that I can see or care to find
That was a one time only situation, though, y'know. See, we were trying to make a box to view the eclipse - there was a solar eclipse -
*pauses, hands freezing mid-air where I was gesticulating*
Anyways, we were getting supplies, and Yongsun-ah let the door slip shut by accident... Who knewwwww they could lock from the outside only, huh?
But uh... *holds up the drink* What's up with you?
@◈ lee minho ʟᴇᴇ ᴋɴᴏᴡ⁻ᶜʰᵒʳᵉᵒᵍʳᵃᵖʰᵉʳ /tilts his head slightly in agreement, the only VIP thing about the area being the quietness, which was only a vantage for those looking for peace, and the extra privacy. Minho's first response left Hanbin to wonder whether it had been a one-time thing, though through Solar's texts it had not entirely seemed that way, but the name that followed switched it back to his initial theory/
Yongsun huh?
/he responded, eyebrow raising a little and entirely ignoring anything pronounced after the girl's name, instead, offering a short shrug of his shoulders/
She's around somewhere... The VIP area might not turn out too bad after all... I mean, no doors means you can't get locked, right?
/he teased lightly, directing a playful smile the other's way, bold enough to utter those words but sober enough to analyze the reaction in case the other disliked the joke/
@☼ kim hanbin Nothing really VIP about it
*Minho admits with a laugh as he whips his head around to look at the thinned group lingering in the more private area*
*most of them had found dark corners or tables for their groups, lost in the wiles of party conversation and the open-bar*
Waiting one someone?
*he clicks in a beat too late, the first name wanting to slip off his tongue being perched before he reels himself in*
Oh - uh - none particularly *lies smoothly, clearing his throat. Maybe it was the champagne that led him to his next words, but they poured out before he could stop*
Yongsun, I was looking for her. You seen her around?
And uh Jennie and DIA in general? Wanted to congratulate them for their wins in person...
@◈ lee minho ʟᴇᴇ ᴋɴᴏᴡ⁻ᶜʰᵒʳᵉᵒᵍʳᵃᵖʰᵉʳ /although he was usually observant, the slight awkwardness flies right over his head due to his senses being a little numbed at the moment. he offers a small nod, allowing his gaze to run shortly through the small well decorated room/
Hadn't been here yet, though I'd check out the "VIP area" /he responds, fingers curling up in air quotes/
What about you? Wanted some alone time or... waiting on anyone?
/he glances back towards the door as if expecting someone to join them, a clear face coming to mind and bringing a small grin to his lips as he faces the older again. he didn't mention any name but it was implied and he knew the other would know who he meant. they'd only been around each other in formal settings so far, save for the one incident, hence Hanbin should probably not be as comfortable bringing it up so easily, nor did he know if the other would be okay with him acting so casual about it, still, he kept an expectant gaze on the other as he waited for a reply/
@☼ kim hanbin *He was three minutes away from grabbing his things and taking off when the kind, low voice of someone drew him out of his thoughts*
*he blinks up, a muffled 'huh' slipping off his lips*
Oh - *the recognition hits immediately upon seeing Hanbin, used to seeing him in rehearsals and practice, until I remember the last time we met was in the closet. And yes, he knew how that sounded*
Hanbin-ah! *he greets with a strained laugh, sheepishly looking around*
I wasn't sure I'd make it to the party to be fair... What brings you around here?
Craving some quiet?
*there was still music that leaked in, but not nearly as obnoxiously as out on the main party, many goers taking relief in the quieter, more private VIP areas available here*
@◈ lee minho ʟᴇᴇ ᴋɴᴏᴡ⁻ᶜʰᵒʳᵉᵒᵍʳᵃᵖʰᵉʳ /after a couple rounds of shots to celebrate our sister group getting the artist of the year award, I leave the girls to talk it out and end up walking around for a bit, spending barely a few minutes on the dance floor spotting all types of couples and 'friends' enjoying the privacy of the rented club to actually party comfortably. I end up stumbling around the bar for a short while before deciding to check out the vip area, coming face to face with you for the first time since the encounter with Solar/
Hyung, hello
/i offer a slight polite greeting, the informal atmosphere and the alcohol in my system cutting a little on the formalities/
Didn't know you'd be here
*with radio silence on Solar's end whenever I text her, and not being able to spot her - or anyone I recognized - within the party, I do all I can think of, which is call the babysitter for the third time that night to see how Mingyu was doing*
*after a brief conversation confirming he's still asleep and nothing has changed, he sighs, staring at his watch and wondering if he should just leave*
*a child free night was rare to come by these days with the new work schedule being so accommodating, but being that this was the hottest awards night of the year, and his company was at the heart of it, he had no choice but to show up*
*one after another he'd watched his coworkers and students take the stage proudly, being recognized for their work after a long hard year of nothing but that*
*the after party was a welcome celebration, but mingling had never been his forte. Instead, Minho lingers by the back wall, watching the others while nursing his third flute of champagne and orange juice. A dangerous combo for anyone, but especially for him*
