@♥︎ kim jiwon ᴸᶦᶻ “Oh, I did,” Jungah affirmed, putting some emphasis on her words. As much as she got the reason for the police force she could not help the horrid experiences she had shared with the few she had encountered in the past. That along with the worry of her being equally screwed if the man began mentioning gambling made it the easiest choice. “No cops.”
Her lips pursed in a last ditch effort to decline the offer… But who was she trying to kid. The cake did look tasty, and her stomach was audibly growling. “Maybe just one bite…” she hesitantly mumbled, still moving slowly as she lifted her hand to grab the fork. The whole time was an internal struggle to stop herself, yet she was no match for her own urges. And as the cake touched her tongue it sent a rush of sweetness through her that made her wiggle a little in her seat. The woman was right. The cake was pretty good.
With still full of cake (and a guilty expression on her face to match) the redhead looked over the table at the woman that had accidentally become her saviour. “Sure,” she mumbled out past the cake, one hand covering as she spoke. “Jungah,” she offered in return, revealing a bright smile as she moved her hand to mimic the other’s little waved greeting.
@✵ yoo jungah⁻ᵗʳᵃᶦⁿᵉᵉ "Oh... I thought you meant the pig comment was about police." She mumbled softly before she drank more then pulled back from the straw to wipe a bit with a napkin. Her gaze wandered to the cake then back to the girl. From where she sat, Jiwon could hear the grumbling noise the red-head's tummy made, making her purse her lips inwards. "Please do eat up, I feel like it'll be such a waste to just hide in here. The cake here is pretty good, would recommend it." Jiwon stated, urging the girl to eat the cake. "Tell you what Ms, why don't I bring you to this office, just to see if it really is safe. If not, then let's look for another option. Also, I realized we've been talking for awhile but still haven't introduced each other." She raised her hand a little, waving a bit as she smiled. "I'm Jiwon, nice to meet you Ms?"
@♥︎ kim jiwon ᴸᶦᶻ “Mhhh… You’re not wrong there,” Jungah hummed, scrunching her nose a little. There was no doubt about what the guy would do if he got to her. But if he went away she was certain that there was safety to be found back at the company building. Hell, it might even be safer than the dorms themselves, but braving that long of a trek now seemed ill advised, even to her.
“Yah, I told you.” The words came out as more of a chuckle than she had intended, her voice quickly lowering again as she waved off the statement. “There’s no one to call. And the office is plenty safe.” The comment about military did have her ponder though. “Would not surprise me if some of the security guys were ex-military. They’re biiiig.” Jungah mimicked broad shoulders as best she could with just her fingers, wanting to draw little attention to herself from behind. “And I’m fiiiiine,” she continued on, ignoring the way her stomach rumbled a little staring at the cake. “The other option would be the dorm, but that’s a far longer walk, and I’d rather not have the guy know where the f*** I live.”
@✵ yoo jungah⁻ᵗʳᵃᶦⁿᵉᵉ For some reason, Jiwon -although she wasn't the one running away from someone- tried to hide as well as she took a peek at the guy the girl pointed out. Her attention then turned back to her before she took another sip from her drink. "Might as well wait around here, it could be dangerous for a big guy like him to run after you, and seeing how he isn't even being discreet, could be more troublesome especially if you don't want to call the police for this." She said softly before she shook her head in response to her question.
"Are you sure you don't want to call a guardian? A friend? You keep muttering something about an office but I don't think that can keep out most people unless the office you said is like military level." The girl pointed out before taking a peek outside again, seeing the said man now talking to some people and miming out what seemed to be descriptions as he showed the height and pointed to his hair. Jiwon had to back down, careful not to let him catch on to her spying. "Why don't you eat something first, have the cake, it's on me. Do you have anywhere else to go? Somewhere safe hopefully?"
@♥︎ kim jiwon ᴸᶦᶻ Jungah’s eyes stayed on the cake for a moment before looking up, genuine puzzlement and amusement battling for control over her expression. “Guardian?” The word sounded foreign after so many years. But it quickly got brushed out of her mind as she gently nudged the cake back over. “No pigs. I’ll be fine so long as the guy leaves. The office has security around it constantly, so I’ll be good so long as I get there.”
She gave another slight glance over her shoulder towards the door, trying to make it look as natural as possible. But as soon as she saw the man hobbling past she looked back to the stranger before her, whispering between her teeth: “That’s him.” Luckily the guitar-case had hid most of her outfit, if not she was sure the man would have stumbled in and dragged her out. Though that was harder to imagine now as she glanced over at the woman before her. She looked far too innocent to ever strike someone, yet Jungah had a feeling that she could somehow rain hellfire down on someone bringing her trouble.
Giving the slightest glance towards where her guitar-case was, Jungah sighed as it still well hidden in the shadows. “Is he gone yet?”
@✵ yoo jungah⁻ᵗʳᵃᶦⁿᵉᵉ No matter how fine she looked and how she continued to stammer out how she was fine, she couldn't shake off the feeling that something was wrong. It was the first time someone ever came to her for something random, unless they were a schoolmate, but the girl didn't seem to explain that they were in the same school or they were classmates, so it wasn't that. Her eyebrows furrowed a bit as she pursed her lips inwards, phone still in hand only for her eyebrows to raise at her explanation. Jiwon took a small peek from behind her, making sure to not be too obvious before she turned her attention back to the girl, smiling at her to make it look as if they've known each other for years. Through her teeth, as she smiled, she then replied. "Alright, stay here first, it's better to be surrounded by people. I'll keep my phone on hand in case you need to call someone okay?"
She then used her free hand to push the cake further to the girl. "For now, maybe you can just eat this? Sorry I didn't think of ordering something less sweet." She gave a sheepish grin, listening to her mutter to herself. "Is there anything I can do for you? Call your guardian maybe? If police is out of the question?" Jiwon suggested, now reaching for her drink and mixing the contents with the straw before taking a sip.
@♥︎ kim jiwon ᴸᶦᶻ The woman’s semi-shocked expression seemed to quickly shift as if she knew exactly what was going on. And no matter how correct she was or how willing to help Jungah’s natural instincts kicked in as she began huffing and stumbling over her words in an attempt to seem fine or casual with it all. “Okay? Yeah, I’m- Pfff- I’m… Yeah, fine, I’m fine,” she stammered out, trying to keep the smile up.
But as soon as the mention of the police came up she hurriedly raised her hands up to indicate the woman to slow down. That was the one option that would land Jungah in worse trouble than being handed directly over to the guy following her. “I’m fine, really. I work nearby, but someone-“ She paused, giving the vaguest hint of a look over her shoulder. “-I’d rather not see caught a whiff of me. And I just am not up for that tonight.” Despite the tension she couldn’t help her big expressions as she rolled her eyes. “So if you see a slightly tubby guy that looks a bit disheveled hobble his way on by… Just let him?” There was no way this woman would be immediately convinced of anything, but Jungah still flashed a nervous grin at her.
“After that I’ll just scurry back to the offices and sleep there tonight.” Her eyes drifted off a little, staring at the cake resting on the plate between the as she mumbled a bit to herself. “Yeah, that should work. I could probably just sleep in a training room or a booth or something.”
@✵ yoo jungah⁻ᵗʳᵃᶦⁿᵉᵉ Just as she was about to take the first bite of her cake, her gaze turned to the source of the voice asking, mouth parted as she blinked, unsure of how to respond but she was already seated opposite to be where she sat. She then looked over behind her as casually as she could before she turned her attention to the red head infront of her as she brought down the fork with the piece of cake back to the plate.
"Are you okay?"
Her words came out soft. There has to be a reason the girl sat in front of a total stranger despite the amount of vacant seats around and she didn't call her name or stage name so she didn't seem to be like a fan. The only logical explanation she could think of was that someone was after her or she was being stalked. Jiwon leaned forward a bit, at the pretense of pushing the dessert towards her. "Are you in some kind of trouble? Do you need to call the police? Or maybe someone you know to come pick you up?" She asked softly, reaching for her phone from the pocket of her jacket, ready to call 112 if needed as she waited for the girl to respond.
@♥︎ kim jiwon ᴸᶦᶻ Life had seemed perfect ever since Jungah had gotten swept away from Busan. It was as if she could finally start life over with a clean check, nothing and no-one from her past lingering to mess anything up. It was the one shot she had always dreamed of; the one that had seemed to always be out of reach. And yet she had managed to grab it.
At least that was the thought that had stuck with her for the most part. Life here was a lot easier. She would wake up and go to the company building, spend a few hours training on her guitar skills, writing up new riffs or lyrics whenever inspiration hit her. Then she would pack up and head back knowing that tomorrow would be just as pleasant.
So imagine how she felt as she passed a cornerstore not far from the office and a man pointed out at her and yelled her name. She barely had a moment to glance his way, eyes wide as she recognized a guy she had royally screwed over with a winning hand over poker. The red-head did not hesitate for a second to break into a sprint, her guitar-case slamming against her back as she dipped around the corner and ran.
Someplace. Any where. She just needed a-
AHA! Almost tripping over her own feet as she slid to a halt outside the nearby Beans’n’Beans Jungah hurried inside, eyes scanning the various tables of students. A few looked up at her, far more remained nose deep in their studies. But one looked alone, the perfect person for her little ploy. Walking briskly over she smoothly slid her guitar-case under a nearby table before pointing to the chair before the woman.
“Free?” Jungah didn’t wait for a response before taking her seat and sighing contently, an overdramatic display of calm despite the otherwise rushed movements. “Great, thank you.” Her hands quickly brushed her red hair over her shoulder, hiding most of it with her hood as she heard steps passing by outside.
@✵ yoo jungah⁻ᵗʳᵃᶦⁿᵉᵉ Life had been quite hectic but that didn't mean it was all bad. Their debut, meeting new people, working with others, these are some of the perks that came with the new life she was living, but also Jiwon felt she needed some time to herself. Deciding to go to the cafe they performed in months ago seemed like a good idea. 9pm on a school night was a good choice to visit, not much people aside from students who were full on grinding their studies scattered around. After ordering a strawberry frappe - she needed to sleep too after all - and a slice of chocolate crepe cake, she then made her way to the area with a least number of people, near the middle facing the door.
@✵ choi yewon⁻ᵗʳᵃᶦⁿᵉᵉ “ alright ladies we’ll leave the choreo like that for now, tomorrow we will pick back up on the 8 count. Remember that i am staying later Tuesdays and Thursdays to help whoever needs it,” Lisa dismisses the class, heart pounding and ears still ringing by the loud music that blared from the speakers. eight to twelve hours a day it’s been this way since 9Lives ended.
The girls from the show and other trainees alike joined forces for extra dance time , always honing and improving their skills. Lisa was proud but there’s one face in particular she had not seen tonight and she hadn’t been seeing her for a minute now. Usually the dancer would just pack her bag and head back to the dorms to unwind but tonight was different, tonight she NEEDED to talk to yewon.
She had heard through the grapevine that the younger trainee had been working on the side at the local BeansNBeans cafe, it took no time for their paths to cross as it was Lisas favorite hang out spot. She seemed more lively there, more comfortable. Whatever was going on with her was none if Lisas business and after yewon basically told them all to off the other day, Lisa was probably treading on thin ice as she hauled her bag over shoulder and left the DSF building to head off down the familiar path of the cafe. It was only 8:45 pm she should make it just at closing time.
It made no sense to Lisa, ‘ why work so hard just to get here to act like it’s nothing right when debut time is just around the corner’ that constant question the girls throw around when yewon was mentioned at all. Maybe she’s misunderstood, the girls didn’t make a valiant effort to reach out to her. Granted, shes not that ing approachable.
Lisa trudges through the darkness and cold of the early winter, she was determined. Soon enough, she reaches the cafe and just as predicted it was closing time. A figure was turned facing towards the door, presumably locking the building up for the night. A second later she catches a glimpse, it was yewon. Oddly, she didn’t seem eager to leave work like most. She lingered which was also odd because it was cold as hell out.
Making slow steps towards the other Lisa decides to make her presence known as to not scare her, “ So I guess this is why we never see you at night? Workaholic?”
This had to be the worst day for the cafe to be short-staffed. Yewon had spent the morning practicing, getting up earlier than she had ever been able to and even then arriving late, only really having enough time after to go back to her dorm to shower and stopping briefly for lunch at the company's canteen. Her muscles were sore, and just about everything hurt, so when her manager called for an emergency shift, as both the on call barista AND waiter had called in sick, she just knew it was her unlucky day.
Most of the early afternoon went by smoothly as not many customers came in during that period, and one could say it was both a blessing and a curse. For one, she needed something to distract herself with. Every day seemed too repetitive lately; practice, some more practice, a little bit more of practice, work, worrying over and over about the same old things and crying herself to sleep. Her late night strolls helped, but it's not like it was something she had the energy to do every day, and it only really did anything for her while she was out. The moment she came back to the dorm... everything came rushing back, pulling her deeper and deeper into her own darkness, the coldness of the dorm emprisoning her even further within her steel walls. Today she needed the work, or she would end up going crazy. Crazier.
Yewon wasn't a people person, and it was unlikely she ever would be. Finding out the only available job offer close enough to the dorms was something which involved not only working with people but also serving them, well, let's just say she wasn't too happy about it. As for today, the trainee expected the cafe to get busier later in the day, which would prove to be effective at putting her mind elsewhere, but it would also drain every last drop of energy she might've had. Every social interaction, every entitled costumer, everything felt like more than she could handle, especially today that she was alone.
With the usual towel on her shoulder, Yewon glanced at the clock by the door, sighing in relief as she had nothing but an hour to go, making herself busy by cleaning a couple of mugs and smilling every so slightly when they offered her a soft clink as she put them back on their shelf, next to their doppelgängers. It was already getting dark outside, the rather dim lights of the streetlamps allowing one to see the autumn leafs flying by as the chilly breeze pushed them towards an unknown journey. Oh to be a leaf, drifting in the wind, travelling places never before seen. They were dead, she knew that even when she longingly stared out the window, chin resting on her hand which in turn was supported by a tired elbow on the counter, but so was she.
As the last costumers thank her before leaving, the trainee is quick to go for her trustworthy rag, lazily wiping the table they had occupied for the past couple hours before going around to place the chairs over the tables. A good 30 minutes went by as she swipped the floor, picking up the remaining bits of broken ceramic from the cup she'd dropped earlier by the counter, a sudden but brief flashback to a certain night leaving her fingertips tingling as they struggled to hold on to the cup she'd been cleaning, ultimately losing its grip on it and letting it shatter on the floor. Not many cared to look for the epicenter of the noise, as it's quite common around cafes, but a couple did give her a curious yet concered look. She apologized, throwing the shards away quickly before taking the next order, and so now as the final pieces were finally swipped onto the dustpan, the trainee's heart sunk with the sun, just the thought of it being enough to make her breathless, a lump already forming on the back of .
The day was done. The trainee folded her apron and shoved it onto her locker before grabbing her things, turning off the lights and stepping outside to lock the glass door to the cafe, the sound of the keys tinkling echoing through the rather empty street. The air was cold, but she was used to it. She lingered on the street a while longer, not exactly looking forward to what awaited her once she laid down in the darnkess of her room. It was one of those nights.

Hyunjin allowed Hanbin the awkward honor of introducing the group's performance, thanking the people in power for not putting him in that position. He was positioned behind his microphone stand with his hands held politely behind his back. As the leader's gaze swung on them, a cue they were to begin soon, Hyunjin flashed a cocky smile that he knew would piss the other off. Just because he could.
As playful as he was, he was fully serious when the music began. Royal Flush played expertly in the background as accompaniment, bringing a rawness to the already emotional song. Hyunjin closed his eyes to indulge in each raucous note, only brightening to life when his parts came up.
"My life before you was trash." Hyunjin snuck a glance at Jungkook, sharing a private smile. For one whole song, he felt peaceful. It was over as quickly as it had begun, and he already pined for the feeling again. "One more song!" he shouted behind Hanbin when the cover song was mentioned.

As Jessica climbed onto the stage and greeted the crowd, Hanbin was informed that they were up next, to which he nodded softly and made sure to gather the guys. He checked his reflection one last time in the mirror, adjusting the simple outfit and fixing the dark locks with his fingers, he then followed the other guys towards the stage entrance, offering the woman a small bow and a smile as she walked past them. It takes a couple of extra minutes for the stage props to be changed, and the flowery decorations from Jessica's performance are replaced with six mic stands. Once they are given the okay sign, he walks up ahead stepping out in front of the crowd followed by the other members and his lips are instantly parted into the trained bright smile as he offers a short wave.
"Hey! I hope you've been enjoying the performances" He offers in greeting as he stands in front of his stand and the other's spread out, before glancing shortly to his sides to make sure they're all on stage. Once everyone has stopped in their designated position, he faces forward again as he resumes speaking. "This cafe is a place where I've spent a lot of time both as a trainee and even through recent years, much like a lot of the other folks from DSF and a lot of other regulars who are around frequently or simply enjoy the atmosphere, food, drinks, and amazing service this place has to offer, so we're all really glad to get a chance to perform here today and especially for such a cause"
After the short speech, he turns back to face the live band offering a curt nod letting them know they can start, and within seconds the distorted guitar tune resounds over the small cafe soon accompanied by the bass and drums and building up into the introductory line, their voices blending in with the instruments one by one, putting the emotion into the lyrics as they were taught to do, but also as he usually did when writing them.
"Say you love me, say you love me, till the end of the world
All or nothing, I want all of you (I know I love you)"
The song slowly comes to an end with the band bringing the melody down to Romeo's final line and once it finishes there is a short moment of silence before there is clapping and cheering. The boys utter a few 'thank yous' exchanging looks with each other before motioning to Royal Flush again as the band once more begins the very familiar melody of the popular song. "To wrap it up we bring you a short cover tow which we added our own little touch, we hope you enjoy it" He introduces shortly just as they get to start of the song and his eyes focus on San, one of their new additions, as the younger sings along to the english song.
there was a brief intermission after pixie's performance allowing customers time to order more or use the batheroom if they please , but mostly used as the perfect time to change the small stage decoration and set up the stage props and decor for jessicas performance.
once the intermission ended, lilac trees and small flower bushes decorate the stage leaving fans in confused awe.
"Ladies and gentlemen, Jessica Jung!"
Small gasps course through the cafe as jessica enters on to stage in an unexpected apparance of performers. after she released her last comeback it was meant to be the end of her singing career, a love letter of retirement from the stage but there she stood in front of a couple hundred people to perform once again.
" I have to say, I feel very at home right now on this stage. Seeing all your beautiful faces tonight only makes it more surreal I'm here doing this. This event means the world to me just like the rest of the DSF members and staff in the back and I thank you again. The only way to truly show my appreciation as a singer is to perform right? So just for you, my special reindition of Lilac. I hope you like it. "
The soft strings of the guitar play through, jessica clapping her hands gently to get the crowd going , they follow with ease as she begins. A proud smile stays up on her lips, soft velvetly vocals encouraging them to keep the beat. it was no easy feat to pull together such a special event, but they had. all these people came last minute with no promotion whatsoever , just to see them live. to keep this business open. this may possibly be her most prized achievement to date.
as she sings , sitting down on the edge of the stage and reaching towards fans with an outstretched hand letting them hold onro, the intimate atmosphere opens a gate of past memories. her trainee days flooding her mind, a mirage of her happiest moments with The Seon family, the elderly couples making her laugh uncontrollably. they comforted her when she cried. for a moment she was fifteen again, a small fish in a big pond and Tiffany was by her side. they're drinking hot chocolate when they were supposed to be dieting. they were doing schoolwork in the back corner table, whispering about secrets and boys.
she couldn't fight the tears that immediately spring to her eyes, heart clenching as they will only just be memories now.
Oh lilac, the day under the petals canopy good bye
This ending matches right
It's like the falling petals
Our ivory colored spring
How glorious it is
she chokes over her lyrics abit unable to finish them , she shakes her head with a small little smile as if to apologies. in the absent of her voice, the crowd takes control finishing out the post chorus and song which only leaves jessica in a more emotional state, the feeling of gratefulness had never been this overwhelming before. the crowd cheers, not just for her but for themselves too. it was moment so beautiful and in the crowd , through the teary eyes, she sees a younger Jessica and Tifanny in the crowd too cheering.
Was there a place more notorious on the block other than Bean'n'Beans cafe? The business had been around long before Pixie had, and she herself had spent more than one late night there drinking coffee while working over some worry or project, or whatever else life threw at her.
With the success of her solo debut, and all the luck Pixie had been having, she felt it only fair to push her luck forward and help keep the cafe open with whatever way she could. As the business was nostalgic, she chose one of the cuter songs off her album, even dressing the part in a dress reminiscent of a maids costume.
"I would like to thank all the Blossoms who have helped contribute to the event, and all the other amazing fans that have shown up to support us. This place truly is a one and only spot, which is why I want you all to sing and clap along as I sing this next song for us!" Pixie plucked the mic off the short stand, smiling to convince herself that the performance was going to go well. No matter how many times she took to the stage, she was always nervous enough to recharge an AA battery.
As the bubbly music picked up, though, so did Pixie's energy. Gone were the nerves and instead it was just her and the crowd. Even if Jungkook had put on an amazing performance ahead of her, it didn't discourage her. He'd pumped up the crowd in her favour. They sang and clapped and jived until the music stopped and, out of breath, Pixie placed her microphone back on the stand.
It only took one sweep across the fans to realize this was worth it. Her choices had all led her to here for a reason, and she'd be darned to see the pivotal cafe go down.
"You're up, Romeo," on cue he makes his apperance from the backstage area, loud screams and cheers ring loud in his ears, he had wondered all day how he was going to get through today's schedule without having a mental breakdown due to his own personal issues but as he looks out into the small crowd, the large smiles of his being enough to heal him from any situation.
"Hello, hello! Thank you wonderful people for having me here tonight , but more importantly thank you for showing up for this occasion. I come from the poorer parts of my district back in Busan, every day businesses get bought out by bigger companies and it alters the locals every day lives and without fail the smaller voices of protest get looked over. So truly I am grateful to be apart of such a thing. Alright, You guys have your drinks and treats and I hope yopu've been enjoying the show. What I have prepared for you is something I haven't yet put out or performed, I actually finished it just a couple days ago in the studio. So enough chit chat huh? This is "Standing Next To You. C'mon hit it."
The cue of the drums start the performance, a 80's inspired beat plays throughout the cafe. Jungkook the mic and just like that all his troubles vanished, nothing else mattered except this performance. His honey like vocals flows easily as if it was second nature. the song was completely in English, he could see the bit of confusion of some faces but they were all saying and clapping to the beat nonetheless.
"standing next to you, standing in the fire next to you,"
he sang the lyrics with much conviction as he danced around the stage, his moves mimicking the late Micheal Jackson. He loved performing , and this venue reminded him of his more humble beginnings of only playing for a few hundred people if that. It gave him a sense of nostaliga.
In reminsce of his earlier performing days Jungkook does the unthinkable, stepping off the stage into the seated crowd, singing right to them. He lets the fans touch all over him, screaming and crying as they do; Jungkook only smiles while drinking in the chaos around him that he created. He even reaches out to a select few fans, caressing their cheeks while hitting his falsettos right before jumping back on stage to finish the song out in flashy fashion.
Although she hasn't been a trainee nor has she been in the area for that long, in comparison to her seniors and fellow trainees, Jiwon knows the feeling of losing a special place that held so much meaning. When it was announced that the cafe was going to close, despite having no special attachment to it, she was willing to help in any way possible. She's been there once or twice, and she could say Beans'n'beans cafe had a really cozy aura to it that just helped people relax. Students usually filed in after classes, either to relax or hope to see different celebrities from nearby companies, DSF included. Office workers going in after a long day of work, sometimes even during work hours for those in high positions, having their own meetings. It was a place called home far from home for others, and she wanted to help keep it a safe haven for those around her.
Watching her seniors performing for a cause brought a kind of warmth that made her feel happy. Doing something you love for a cause, it was noble in her eyes, and she wanted to be just like them. Seeing how they had fun on stage, calling the attention of the crowd and letting them participate just proved how this wasn't a lone project, which brought a smile to her face.
As soon as it was her turn, she took a deep breath, bowing politely as she stepped onto the platform, greeting politely. It wasn't the first time she performed on stage, but it had been a while. She was so used to singing in front of the camera that she had to pause momentarily, trying to take it all in, but was quick to sit in front of the microphone, her lips a bit in nervousness. "Good uhmmm day?" She greeted, fixing the mic before she got it from the stand, giving a sheepish grin just as it earned some chuckles amongst the crowd. "Today I will be performing an english song, if you know the song, you can sing along." She smiled before taking another deep breath then let out a shaky sigh.
Once the music started, Jiwon could feel herself getting lost to it. Eyes slowly closing as she brought the mic up to her lips. Although she has never felt heartbreak, in relation to the song that is, she felt like she was in the scenario. She felt as if she was seeing the song play in the back of her mind, which intensified just how she sang. Her voice grew high and loud until it reached the chorus, singing it softer, hand gesturing without her realizing. The crowd joined in at some parts, making her smile softly. As the song grew slow and soft, so did her voice.
Jiwon stood up and bowed, putting back the mic. "Thank you very much." She said softly, feeling a bit shy as she continued to bow while making her way down.

Jennie felt something shrivel up and die inside of her in slight secondhand embarrassment yet the smile from watching the veteran rapper never once faltered. she had a certain aura about her when on stage, the awkward forty year old dad in her dissipates and a star with confidence is born. the moment was short lived and so was their stage but Jennie had made the most of it and had clearly made a statement to byulyi in a way in which she hope conveyed that she didn't care who watched, she always wanted her. the performance was for the gays anyway.
"Thank you for having us! I hope you enjoy the rest of your night with even more to come Beans N' Beans!"
Her nerves had been high strung up until the very moment she had been called to their little makeshift stage. Things here were a lot more intimate than what a big stage was, making her capable of seeing every single face in the crowd, despite the room being filled. It felt almost akin to her old shows in a way: informal and real.
But that all changed the second she stepped up on stage, her eyes spotting the gorgeous woman hiding just out of sight from the audience on the other side. Whatever nerves had been there melted away as quickly as her heartbeat rose, her grip on the mic tightening a tad as she smiled her signature gummy smile.
"Coffee drinkers!" she playfully called into her mic, staring out at the audience. There was a small cheer before she continued on: "Tea drinkers!" Another cheer rolled through the small crowd as smiled, happy to have some proper audience interaction again. "No matter what way you swing, I know we can all agree on one thing. Beans'n'Beans is the place to be, am I right?" Another slightly louder cheer.
"Today I'll be performing one song. It's a B-side, but one I've worked hard on. So consider it a special treat, because I don't often perform it live." She winked as she said it, her confidence still climbing at the thought of getting to perform it with Jennie. And as the music began, Byulyi did what she did best with music: Let herself get swept up in the rhythm and feel of the place. She moved about as she performed, jokingly twerking along to the lines, her purple cropped sweater beating against her chest with each movement.
And though she tried not to make it obvious, there was a look of pure delight when she heard the breathy vocals join in, her head spinning to get a good look, just like most of the audience.
@♊︎ song mingi ᴳᶦⁿ@♊︎ kwon eunbi ᴱᵘⁿ@♊︎ felix lee ᴸᴵˣ@◈ jessica jung⁻ᴾᴿ ᵐᵃⁿᵃᵍᵉʳ Bowing in every direction came as instincts to Sua as their group made their way over to the stage, a smile playing on her lips, quickly trailing after Eunbi. Being a trainee for so long, of course she knew the cafe everybody had talked about. She had been there one too many times. If those walls could talk, it would have so much stories to tell from seeing different people and listening to all their experiences. Sua was no stranger to the place that saw every side to her. For celebrations, for pity parties, for something good that happened, for frustrations that she couldn't understand herself, for little treats with friends, old and new, she had brought all the different emotions to the place just like all the other trainees and idols before her.
Before she got totally lost in reminiscing, she looked over at her members, following their lead and bringing the mic up to her lips while doing the hand signs then bowing politely and turning her attention to Lix, nodding in agreement to every word, giving a little clap and salute as they turned their attention to Royal Plush. And with the introductions in place, Sua took a deep breath and let out a sigh, hidden by a smile.
Her head bobbed to the beat of the song as the song started, walking around at first, feeling the music and the vibe. Every now and then she did the choreo but she was having the time of her life, hearing the crowd sing along with them and even dancing along which pumped her up even more. She felt free on stage, funny thing how even that moment was caught in the place they were all trying to save, another memory being added into its roster. The grin on her face grew further as soon as Lix started to twerk, laughing and cheering for their youngest, hyping him up til the crowd joined in as well.
The relaxed and more chill vibe had them enjoying the stage as Sua continued to dance around and hype her members and the rest of the band, occasionally pointing to them. And as if time had passed by too quickly, she could hear the last chorus approaching far too quickly, which caused the group to end with a little dance, matched with their posing. She had to her lips a bit as she looked around after before bowing a few times, thanking everyone and quickly following after her other members, like a lost pup.
@♊︎ song mingi ᴳᶦⁿ@♊︎ moon sua ᴸᵁᴬ@♊︎ felix lee ᴸᴵˣ@◈ jessica jung⁻ᴾᴿ ᵐᵃⁿᵃᵍᵉʳ Eunbi hurried to follow the others with her short legs as they hurried out on the stage made up for their little event. The air itself felt different than the other performances they had shared on stage, tense but oddly relaxed in a way. She knew a lot rode on this performance, as well as that of the others that had signed up. They all wanted to save this quaint corner of the world, a shop that meant a lot to many there.
She flashed a small smile at her other members before counting them down and lifting the microphone to her lips: “2 by 2, we are LeDeux! Hello hello, waaaah~” The leader cooed before letting Lix continue on. It was a marvel to see how fast he had improved in his introductions and speeches, a testament to the dedication he had.
She gave him a quick pat on the back as she passed him when the music had begun, dancing along to the live backing that played an altered version of their track. And it was evident soon enough that the air she had felt earlier hung above them all. Because in place of the usual performances they would give with choreo and everything, they could simply sing and enjoy themselves on stage. She caught herself getting a little into it all, laughing along with the other’s watching Lix twerk excitedly along.
They continued on with Ring The Alarm, and she had to admit the cozy fun of the stage was getting to her. She would gently roll her hips along to the song and playing up her flirtatiousness whenever she sang. Even parts that weren’t her own had her mimicking the rapping along from behind the others, feeling herself with all the fun of it. It almost felt too short when it came towards the end of their part of the performance. Eunbi’s whole body was still jittery with energy, causing her to hop up and down a little with excitement before politely thanking everyone for showing up.
And as they began filing off of the stage towards the corner, she was excitedly whispering to Lix, sticking close to his side the whole way: “That was so fun! I wish we could do more stages like this.”
First out the door, Felix and his 3 bandmates went out waving to the small congregation in the cafe, and the short blond (albeit they were all blond now) was the first to lift the mic to his lips "2 by 2, we are LeDeux, hello everyone~" he did their little peace sign intro with two fingers in the air, and smiled brightly to the crowd "Waaaah, so many people! Thank you all for coming out today, we are very happy and proud to open this for you, guys, and hopefully to make a mark in this great place - as Jessica-sunbaenim said, it has felt like home to us and we don't want to see it go! Its so nice to be so close to you all like this right now, like we can be super real with you right now, so we can't wait to sing for you with our brothers Royal Plush backing for all of us over there!" he pointed to the band already lined up at the back, grinning at Seonghwa, then back to the crowd "We will sing our 2 songs for you today, so please sing along with us aaaaaand let's have fun!"
With little finger-hearts, the music started, and whoa it was kinda new to hear their own song with this kind of "backtrack" - live band, but soon they all got into the vibe and started having fun, opening up the performance with an upbeat and energetic stage, some people getting up to give a little dance, or just wiggling in their seats.
At one point Felix felt so hyped, that he even twerked during Oh Nana, earning loud cackles from the audience and even his co-members for shaking his tiny flat . It was all for charity after all, no?
Later that prompted a little improvised dance during Ring The Alarm, and soon - way too soon that they liked - the band was playing the last chords and they were waving their goodbyes again, ready to take their own little table in the corner and enjoy the senior DSF artists.
