/side eyes wooyoung briefly, huffing out a quiet sigh. she tilts her head a bit , his words bringing her much dismay but she sits and listens to his senseless points , letting him finishes before responding

while i understand that sometimes it's harmless, much like sans post. still, i'd rather it not cause a commotion and have to issue a statement anyways. better safe than sorry. tell me this; you guys have worked so incredibly hard to get to this point, why put yourselves in these positions that could potentially be career ending to begin with? Now that you've climbed the moutain, you think you're untouchable? let me put it this way, there are hundreds of people who have reached the peak of MT. Everest that you'll never know.

all our hardwork goes down the drain every time something occurs. hundreds of staff who could be spending time with their loved ones but choose to stay over because someone was late or too hung over to show up on time. staff who work hard on your pictorials to make sure you look good just for a inconsiderate stunt to be pulled and you don't even participate in the upcoming event. all I ask from anyone is that you THINK before you DO. you are adults and you will be held accountable as such. do not take DSF's management kindess for weakness, we built your careers and we'll take them away as needed. He nodded along, keeping a somber look on his face so that Jessica knew he was taking what she was taking seriously. He couldn't help but turn his head and try not to roll his eyes at some people's comments but for the most part, he agreed with Jessica-nim. They needed to take their careers more seriously. He just wanted this whole thing over with so he could go and practice.

That being said I am here to announce the rebirth of our bodyguard policy. a bodyguard must be with you at all time when going out if no other staff will be present.

/ she knocks gently on the Janus dorm door with three rhythmic taps , stepping back to wait patiently for one of the boys to open it

/ she warns teasingly but very much dead serious

@☼ hwang hyunjin one thing throughout the years that has never changed nor will ever be changed, jungkooks love for sleep and bis ability to always over sleep. whether some deem it good or bad, he does it anyway. today was no different except usually he felt the warmth of his boyfriend beside him and when he couldn’t he awoke from his lucid like sate, his puffy face scrunched up.

he often had a sinking feeling when he woke up alone almost as if he had be taken aback to all those months ago without having hyunjin.
okay, time to wake up then. he groggily detangled himself from the mess of blankets, shivering a bit as his bare chest is exposed to the room temperature. didn’t he go to bed with a shirt on? oh well.

he smells coffee, with one eye open he shuffles out of the room into the kitchen and there hyunjin was. luckily only hyunjin and no one else , the love of his life already up with coffee in hand. his anxiety easily dissipates at the sight. in their morning ritual jungkook says nothing, he just shuffles close enough to carefully wrap his boyfriend up in his long arms, stealing his warmth with incoherent grumbles and mumbles.

With their packed schedules from the comeback, they'd taken to staying in town in the dorms, to avoid the longer morning travel and have more sleep. It would have worked, and Hyunjin would have been awake, if they were allowed to sleep for more than 4 hours a night*
*he nearly poured kimchi sauce into his coffee instead of milk, but that first sip was a jolt to his system*
*he eyed his reflection in the stove face, making sure he looked as cute as he could for whenever his boyfriend showed up*
*he glanced at his phone to the time gain and nodded. Jungkook would be awake any minute now and he'd realize his shirt is gone and Hyunjin was wearing it
*he made his boyfriend an extra cup of coffee in pre apology*

Frowning he walks up to Wooyoung in the man's room, a look of contempt on his face and anger. He had earlier spotted the Christmas gift he had given the man on his thumb, exactly where it wasn't supposed to be. He had told Wooyoung it was a promise ring and here he dared to wear it on the wrong finger. Grabbing the man by the lapels of his shirt, he pushed him roughly onto his bed, climbing onto him while still holding onto his shirt not realizing the tears that were streaming down his cheeks*
How dare you? *He asked in a broken whimper, grabbing Wooyoung's hand and pulling it up. Grabbing the ring, he ripped it off Wooyoung's finger before shoving it down onto Wooyoung's ring finger with a pathetic little hiccup*

By the time the conversation starts to escalate further, along with the tone, their manager who'd been previously sitting on the coach, as well as Hyunjin, and any of the other members who'd closed up in their rooms had faded to the background and out of Hanbin's mind. He lets out a quiet scoff with a roll of his eyes as the other rambles on about him not being present.
"You think it didn't affect me just as much because I wasn't sitting around with you guys in the dorm? We've never been that way! How is that my fault? I did ing try at first, but members keep leaving and being added and changing. Someone always has an issue with someone so how are we supposed to keep up with that? Pretending like it's all good and we're all buddy-buddy is not going cut it, so would it have really made a difference if I was around when we've never managed to get close?"
Hanbin could not see the point at all in how different it would've been if he was around and the more Jungkook talked the more annoyed he got. Maybe a part of him was actually aware of how it could've changed something. And maybe that could've been a turning moment for them to actually lean on each other and grow close, but that was not something he was ready to wrap his head around or acknowledge at the moment. Especially not when Jungkook was so upset and aggressive, which in turn forced Hanbin into a defensive stance. Namely when the girls were mentioned which had him gritting his teeth at the jab from the other.
"Must be hella easy for you to talk when your boyfriend is in your own ing group, huh? Literally living in the same room, sharing the same damn schedules? Unfortunately, for me, that's not an option, so yes I do have to make time" He spit right back, feeling his own blood boiling with each word of the other. "Plus, the whole point of hanging out with them is to get my mind off of it and get some positivity, something that clearly never works with Janus" The last few words strike something within him and he frowns up at the other for a second before offering a blank expression instead. Attempting to ignore the mention of the party and the failure their group dynamics had been in general, Hanbin instead shakes his head at the other, pushing the words out of his head. There was no point in even having this discussion and nothing would change. "You know what? Nevermind... This is exactly why it never works, we barely talk, we don't have a relationship and I can't carry any extra load when I don't even know what the is up with any of you... But as I said, what's done is done, and all we can do now is deal with it. So do it your way and I'll do mine, I'm ing done" With that, he turned his back on the other and left. His eyes grazed the bedroom door but he quickly chose against, needing to get out for a bit. As he picked up his phone and keys, Jungkook's words replayed in his mind about how he was never around, and here he was again, leaving at a critical moment. But the thoughts were quickly dismissed as he needed some fresh air, a cigarette, and most especially a break away from the others to think through what the youngest had just said.

Because like you said it affects us all! But you’re never around ! When dongmin did that - which really was the trainees fault for getting physical, EVERYTHING changed. You weren’t ing there for the mental and physical fall out. When changbin was going through it with the whole dating scandal, where were you? When the group was falling apart in shambles and never got close , where. the. . were. you.
he shakes head backing up a bit when he realizes how close he had gotten , he was sober enough from the anger to know not to act too irrational despite the high tension in the room

but i own up to my bull and when got tough and someone needed to carry the extra load due to the scandal fall outs, i was here. I was working my off. from baekhyun and yibo leaving, to dongmin leaving- I WAS THE ONE WHO STEPPED UP EVERY GODDAMN TIME! So don’t. Get the off your high horse. I may be the maknae but i don’t need someone dead beat leader to ‘babysit’ me.

To be entirely fair, Hanbin had not entirely meant to sound as aggressive as it had probably come out. He was more upset about the constant scandals and consequential boycotting they ended up getting dragged into rather than Jungkook himself. Especially since, if the other was being honest and hadn't taken anything, it was not entirely fair or his fault to pin it on him. Still, they all knew what being an idol entailed and how every single choice could and would likely have consequences not only for them but for the entire group and even the company. And maybe it was just the build-up of all the past few months, of course, fueled by Jungkook's equally accusatory response, but instead of backing out and trying to figure it out carefully, Hanbin's eyes widen in both shock and anger. "Well clearly that's my fault, 'cause apparently, you need me around to ing babysit you guys?" More than a statement, he worded it as a question, brows slightly raised but furrowed in inquiry. This had never been brought up, and he knew he'd been spending a lot of time with other friends or that he needed his alone time from time to time which meant dipping out every once in a while without much info, but it was the first time any of them mentioned it, and in the heat of the moment the slight feeling of guilt was instead interpreted as something else. "Of course it matters! Because the consequences affect all of us!" Was his immediate response, quickly followed by a slightly offended "You all do whatever the you want even when I'm present, so what difference would it have made? Would Dongmin not have gone out to around? Would you not have gone to the damn party?"

hanbin hadnt said much this entire time and jungkook wasn’t sure what reaction he was expecting from the leader however passive aggressive bull and snide comments weren’t exactly it. That was hyunjins thing. And it pissed jungkook off even more. why was no one truly listening? his words irked him and for a moment jungkook decides if a response is worth it but his mouth does all the talking and thinking for him

Why does it matter? Not like you’ll actually be around for the consequences or any of the fall out, funny how you have the audacity to even be mad when you’re never around. What do you have to be mad about? That you can’t dip out in peace this time around? No one’s stopping you ‘leadernim’.
