@❈♚ Taehyung Tepes [] definitely not weird! and sorry, this is short because i figured that Guk would end up passing out >.<
“No, I know..” Jeongguk sighed, the knowledge that they could never go public with their love always saddened him, even if he knew that it was the right thing. They were both well aware that if anybody outside of their family found out that they were intimate.. it would end in bloodshed. Sometimes he wished they weren’t related(even though he felt like being in a taboo relationship was a bit y), then they wouldn’t have to hide. “We can, can get though.. Anything.” he agreed softly, turning his head to breath in his brothers scent.
“Hm?” Jeongguk twisted around, the effort making him grunt, staring hard at the wrist in front of him. He could sense the blood in his brothers veins pumping slowly, the steady throb making his mouth salivate and his fangs threaten to extend. Satan, he was so thirsty. He was so used to just drinking Taehyungs blood when they were feeling that he almost didn’t want too but Jeongguk knew that Taehyung would throw a fit if he didn’t. “Thank you, I— I won’t take too much, p-promise” He whispered shakily, his good hand coming up to bring the wrist closer to his mouth.
Jeongguk pressed sweet kisses over the most exposed veins before sinking his teeth in, his tongue laving over the holes in apology. The first burst of blood was almost cloying on his tongue but it was the best think he’d ever tasted, and he moaned as he drank greedily.
It did nothing to get rid of his exhaustion but at least he didn’t feel like he was on deaths door anymore. The various claw marks, aches and breaks slowly healing themselves, his broken arm even cracking back into place with a little encouragement; it’d probably need some time to heal.
But nothing could compare to the shock of what Taehyung uttered next; Jeongguk promptly choking and snorting blood all over his brothers arm. he could feel it dribbling out of his nose, out of his mouth as he spluttered his way through trying not to choke on his brothers blood.
He knew he looked like an absolute mess as he tried(and failed) to wipe his face clean, leaning back to search for any hint that Taehyung might not be telling the truth. When he found none, Jeongguk broke out into a smile, lunging forward to tackle Taehyung with a hug.
“We will?” Jeongguk squeaked, barely able to contain the happiness in his voice. He was suddenly feeling light headed and it wasn’t because of the blood loss.. Just.. Wow! He was absolutely speechless! And exhilarated that Taehyung wanted to marry him too! “All I ever wanted was to call you my husband” He breathed, pressing a bloody kiss to the corner of Taehyungs lips.
“When we get married, I’m gonna.. gonna ride you every f-ing night, just you wait and see. If you take me home now and let me rest up, I’ll start tomorrow”
@❈♚ Jungcock Tepes [I feel like my reply is super weird I am really sorry if it lol]
While he should have touched his brother more gently as to not further hurt him Taehyung hadn’t been to control himself any longer from refraining from holding him. He pressed their bodies tightly together as the thought of ever letting Jeongguk go again scared him. Taehyung knew that he never wanted to go through something like this ever again in his whole life.
“I don’t ing care about whoever is childish---this isn’t even childish, I almost lost you forever.” And it would have been his own fault for pushing his brother away, for thinking that a stupid plan like his would actually get them back together. How stupid he had been, an utter idiot. Taehyung would have never been able to forgive himself for losing his precious lover.
A wedding present? Taehyung changed his position so that he could look at Jeongguk while he spoke even though he wanted to have his arms around him. His heart broke at seeing how weak his lover was, at the wounds he had. He wanted to treat them, help him but his brother seemed eager to show him whatever it was supposed to be. “We need to get you home safely first---” But it didn’t seem as if they would actually manage so instead Taehyung nodded listening to what this was about. Eleven years ago? He had had a lot conversation with his father ever since so he couldn’t remember what exactly it was that the younger talked about.
His eyes were focused on the silver box before the actual piece was taken out by his brother. They widened in shock, surprise and what felt lie thousand other emotions as he realized just what his brother held there in his hands. One of Russia’s most precious treasures left over from humanity. “How did you---?” But he didn’t finished his question. His heart was beating crazily and he almost had more tears rolling down his cheeks as he listened to the sweet explanation as to why Jeongguk chose this egg. A low chuckle left his lips at the comment about his brother’s innocence, one that left him rub the sleeves over his now dirtied white shirt to wipe the tears away.
“You’re crazy, you know that, don’t you?” It was so meaningful that the younger had remembered this for so many years, risked his life only to make Taehyung happy. His heart already racing in his chest increased even more at the sight of the blood ruby. It took him a lot of self-control to not wrap his weak brother into his arms again knowing that any rough movement could have hurt him more.
The ruby between their hands, the smile along the outline of his lips, the sweet words, while the location and the circumstances were not at all perfect it still felt like one of the most precious moments they had shared. One filled with pure love. As Jeongguk leaned against his chest he had his arms around his body ever so softly. He placed a kiss on his brother’s head and closed his eyes for a moment.
“I love you too, with all my heart---” He whispered. Other thoughts ran through his mind as the blood ruby was still enwrapped by his hand, the other sustaining his lover. “You know that, we wouldn’t actually need to tell anyone. No one will figure it out anyways...we already have a strong, unique bond, I mean...” Taehyung was lost for words as he had no idea just how to put it. And maybe it was no good idea after all in case it ever came out both of them would be ed. Someone would murder them for sure. But wasn’t it worth the risk? Wasn’t it worth it to intensify their bond even more? That was if Jeongguk would want it. All Taehyung knew was that he never wanted to be this worried in his life again. The fear of losing who was most precious to him again took over all his senses.
“I will but I’m worried your too weak to move.” He held his wrist out to his brother close enough to his face. “Drink from me.” Taehyung offered as he was scared that the younger would still collapse with the wounds those bastards had caused him. And it was then between corpses of dead vampires and his weak brother in his arms that he finally dared to say what he had wanted to.
“One day we will marry.” It wasn’t a question, no proposal, it was against everything that the rules said but he didn’t care---it was a promise, the promise that Taehyung would be by his side forever. “And I want one day to be soon.”
@❈♚ Taehyung Tepes Jeongguk squeezed his eyes shut as he felt a pair of bloody hands grip at his head, ready to pull it off, fear spiking through him.
But the endless void of nothingness never came, rather it was a door slamming open and, oh my, possibly the most wonderful voice Jeongguk had heard all day. He opened one eye in time to see Taehyung snarling, tackling the vampire that had Jeongguk pinned down.
He couldn’t watch the fight, his stomach was already roiling with bile and anymore violence would end in him throwing up his entire digestive system. He lay listening to the disgusting shrieks and snapping of bones, the squelching of blood, as his brother made waste to the entire room. Jeongguk couldn’t almost imagine how hot he looked, angry and riled up, just to protect him. Man, if there was any blood left in his body, he’d probably pop a just thinking about it.
Jeongguks eyes flew open as he felt a heavy weight fly into him, holding back a yell as every single wound on his body screamed into protest. All the wind came out of him in hacking coughs, barely able to hear what Taehyung was saying as he tried to get his breath back. “Satan almighty—“
But there was no stopping Taehyung so he settled down to let his brother rant.
He smiled when Taehyung professed his love for him(and his heart jumped at being called baby again) and he desperately wished that his arm was dangling uselessly by his side because all he wanted to do was hug and kiss his brother. Instead he had to settle for awkwardly nuzzling Taehyung, breathing in his warm scent that helped his rapidly beating heart settle.
“please— don’t cry, baby, it hurts my h-heart. I’m supposed to be the childish one, remember?” Jeongguk said softly, using his good hand to wipe away his brothers tears, feeling equal amounts of amusement and sadness at the current situation. He couldn’t quite tell if he wanted to laugh or join his brother in crying his eyes out.
“I just, I wanted to get you the perfect wedding gift. I, uh, I heard you mention these things.. Almost ten or eleven years a-ago to father and I-I wanted to surprise you” He reached out to drag the silver box towards him, pulling out the egg with a groan and onto his lap, careful not to snap any of the delicate pieces off.
“Roses, because I love you, and I wanted your, your marriage to be filled wi-with love too.. The, uh, lilies are for naivety and innocence, maybe they’re for, for your future children or something because you and I.. both know I’m not, not innocent” He chuckled weakly, not caring as he left little blood marks as he touched each flower on the egg.
“But.. The most important thing..” Jeongguk his bloody lips, wincing as blood filled his mouth and his breathing coming out more like wheezes, prying open the egg open with shaking hands. He breathed a sigh of relief when he saw the ruby still nestled in silk, plucking the jewel from its bed. “A blood ruby, to her it’ll just be a valuable trinket but to, to you it’s m-my heart.”
Jeongguk placed the ruby in his brothers hand, curling his fingers over so they were both gripping it tightly, a small smile playing at his lips. Their hands looked so perfect together even if his looked wrecked beyond belief.
“It’s yours forever, I want you to know that” With a grunt, Jeongguk slowly shifted himself up so that he could lean in and press a simple yet sweet kiss on Taehyungs lips “I love you with all my heart.” Fatigue hit Jeongguk like a train and he slumped against his brothers chest, relaxing into his warm hold and closing his eyes. He just wanted to leave and never come back, he craved his own bed(and it probably wouldn’t hurt to drink from a human or two).
“Can you take me home now, Taetae? ‘m tired and want my bed.”
@❈♚ Jungcock Tepes The day of the fake wedding came quicker than he had expected it. No trace of his brother, his supposed to be lover in that whole week. Had the younger actually stopped caring, had he actually not given a about it? Taehyung had been at the edge of tears more than once, had appeared in front of his brother’s room in the middle of the night, his knuckles against the wooden door without slamming them against it more than only once in each night. Greyish marks graced the skin below his eyes as he was more than sleep-deprived. Had he even closed his eyes once during this week?
His endeavour had been worth nothing. Having told Charlotte that his plan hadn’t worked she wanted to go through with the ceremony anyways. Was she so desperate to marry one of royal status? However, Taehyung had had no choice. With his brother not caring about him anymore in the slightest he had to do move forward with his royal position at least even though that triggered his own downfall.
Eyes fixed on the mirror in front of him he starred at himself without really seeing himself, taking himself in. The black material of the suit absorbed his soul but it was not that what him. A picture of Jeongguk was attached to his mirror and he was more so starring at his lover, the only person he had actually ever given a real about. His fingertip slid over the picture as he was close to tears again.
“Why did you stop caring about me?” Desperate, how could the soon to be king, the older brother be this desperate and weak? This was even worse than when he had seen his brothers with his other lovers. The feeling having been thrown away like trash clutched around his heart imprisoning it. It could have been all different. Taehyung knew his brother so well, he should have given in back then. Even though it wouldn’t have changed anything for himself he would have at least still have a chance to be loved by the younger, to be with him. Any other sort of suffering would have been better than this. The pain wrenched him into pieces that he would never again be able to connect.
A knock against his door snapped him back into reality. “Coming.” He stated before taking the picture from his mirror ever so gently as if it was Jeongguk himself. Hiding it inside his pants pocket. It was only a picture but still he needed this last connection to his lover to not go completely insane. Or was he exactly that already?
They hadn’t planned anything fancy, no one but the vampire who led the ceremony and Charlotte were in the room where the ceremony took place. That was because Taehyung had not expected this to actually take place, had he hoped that his brother would throw himself at him before that. Not listening to what the other vampire actually said he gazed into space as his thoughts travelled Jeongguk. Where was he? Somewhere with another vampire, or a human maybe---sharing intimacy and laughing about his stupid brother who he had only played with?
However, a sudden vision him. One in which his dearly beloved brother was in a dark room surrounded by other vampires, threatened by them, hurt by them. It was as if the sounds, the growls reached him. Was it only his imagination playing tricks on him? But why was the image so vivid---so real? , he had to do something not caring if this was maybe just an illusion.
Taehyung had sensed it somewhere in St. Petersburg. His mind somehow traced the illusion to the historic district. Without a second thought, without any apology he stormed out of the room of the ceremony running the palace like a madman. Even with his enhanced vampire speed he wasn’t fast enough, was losing against the imagery clock in his mind, the vision of his dearly beloved not once leaving his mind.
Low growls and heavy breathing roamed through him. The pain he felt at imaging his lover being hurt turned him crazy. His mind didn’t work properly as he was too desperate to think straight. “, get yourself together!” He screamed at himself the echo resonating in the huge hall. Something in him snapped as he finally found his way back into reality, finally figured out that he actually had the power to be quicker than this. Gosh, how could he be so dumb in a moment like this? It was the fear ruling his body and mind, the fear of losing what could never be replaced. It would be unforgivable.
Concentrate. Concentrate. Concentrate.
Like a mantra he repeated those words in his head until he had finally managed to get his together. Bat swarming was his solution. With the teleportation he would not manage to figure out Jeongguk’s exact position but at least it would get him into the historic district first and he could go from there.
Teleporting himself close to the river the area was too crowded for his taste. Way too many other scents distracted him from figuring out which one would lead to his lover. Had it been because they hadn’t been together for a while? Because he had already lost their special connection? No, that couldn’t be it. Once more he started to run like a madman while his mind was still filled up with that dreadful illusion.
It gave him a hint though as something him. What would it actually be that Jeongguk was interested in in this area? For sure it would not be one of the museums or art galleries. More so it would be something hidden here that only a few, rich vampires seemed to know about. The black market.
Hurriedly, he ran through the streets until he reached the area where it was almost ghostly quiet from the outside. With utter concentration he could now smell Jeongguk’s scent, his only chance to find the younger. The building seemed magnificent from the outside but the inside was a ghost town. The scent was now clearer as he ran up the stairs that never seemed to end. Noises spread from the highest floor and his speed intensified at the prospect of finally finding his lover.
If his illusion had been right he needed something to go against a group of other vampires. Something to get rid of them without being hurt himself. Quickly but quietly he sneaked into another area of the black market trying to find anything that would be of help. A stake caught his attention, a rather small one but still enough for what he had planned. He picked up and hid it by tugging it in the back of his pants carefully to not hurt himself even though it was only of danger for the heart.
Taehyung ran up the last steps of stairs being presented with what felt like a freaking maze of hallways and rooms. The scent however got clearer and he managed to trace it through the rooms like that.
A loud scream reached him. It was Jeongguk. He just knew it. With his whole power he jumped against the next door his feet kicking it in as it landed on the floor with a slam. The scene he was presented to was more than shocking. They actually dared to hurt the most important and precious person in his life.
Not acceptable.
“You don’t with the royal Tepes family.” He groaned harshly. Anger boiled through his blood and wolf like features appeared on his body making him stronger. The first to attack were those hurting Jeongguk. He threw himself at them claws at to rip across their faces blood streaming immediately. Having kicked them down from beneath him he grabbed the stake and pushed it deep into their hearts one after another. Screams seemed to echo through the whole building but he didn’t give a single . He only had to be quick enough before a backup of other vampires would appear.
Next in reach were two other vampires, as they were about to attack him he jumped away so that the two clashed into each other. Again the stake was his immediate help killing the two. It went on like this. Not once did Taehyung lose his strength as only the thought of his lover going to be hurt again and the anger of the pain that he must have already felt gave him power. He continued to slaughter the other vampires in the room after with the last one of them finally fell with a loud scream leaving the room filled with quite a number of corpses.
It was then that he rushed to Jeongguk almost tumbling over as he threw himself next to his lover on the ground. Without hesitation he pulled him into his arms pressing them so tightly around Jeongguk that it must have left him almost unable to breath. Taehyung feared that his lover would vanish in front of his eyes just like that if he didn’t hold him as tight as he could.
“Are you crazy? Are you ing crazy?!” The words streamed past trembling lips as he clutched his hands into the fabric of his brother’s shirt. “You ing promised that no matter what you would never get yourself in danger, that you would always stay by my side.” He felt the tears streaming down his face as all his emotions, the fear and anger, the sadness exploded and broke free.
“Never ever do this again, never leave me again. , I love you, don’t ever do this to me. I’ll do everything, just---baby...”
@❈♚ Taehyung Tepes [] ok so i wrote the palace stuff last and my brain kind of failed cause I’m tired lmao the first section is very rushed, i’m sorry!
Jeongguk felt like he’d been punched in the stomach, all the air in his lungs escaping in a pathetic whimper. He jumped up from the couch, reaching out to touch his brothers shoulder and face him properly.
“You can’t mean that, Taetae, please, I’m your baby! How can you—”
Jeongguk shrunk back at the coldness in his brothers eyes, biting his lip. He felt.. tired, stressed, guilty, too many emotions that were dwarfed by his overwhelming need to get his lover back in his arms. But he couldn’t deal with this right now. Being in the presence of Taehyung, being told about this wedding, was causing too much pain for him.
He had to get out of there.
“I— I don’t think I’ll be in attendance for your wedding then.” Jeongguk said coldly, his fists clenched by his sides.
He didn’t want to hear what Taehyung might have wanted to say as he stormed out of the lounge, his human hot at his heels as they headed back to Jeongguks bedroom. “Stay by the door” He barked at his slave, sitting on the sofa in his room and burying his head in his hands. Countless thoughts ran through his mind but there was only one that he was certain about. He had to make it up to Taehyung, that much was clear but first..
“Hwang gyu, come here” Jeongguk called, beckoning over the human with his finger “Come sit on my lap.” He smiled when his little pet obeyed him, apprehension clear in his eyes; clever human, he always knew when Jeongguk had something up his sleeve, it was one of the very, very few qualities that he’d come to actually like about the human. “You’ve been good to me, doing everything I wanted you to.. But not what I needed you too. And it seems I don’t need you here anymore.”
“Does that mean you’re letting me go?”
Jeongguk laughed at the request, loving how the humans hopeful smile slid off his face. “No, baby, you’re not going anywhere.” Jeongguk cupped the humans cheeks and kissed his lips sweetly, barely pulling away when he twisted hard and snap! Hwang Gyu the human fell to the floor, his neck snapped in half.
Jeongguk stood up with a sigh, not sparing a second glance at the dead body as he left his room to start his secret little endeavour. He pulled aside a maid and jammed his thumb to his bedroom “Go drain the blood from the human in my room and keep it stored for me until I get back, I’ll be gone for the next few days until the wedding. Let my family know that I won’t be joining them anytime soon.”
It was partially selfish, it was, but most of all he knew that he needed to do something the show that he was ok with this. He wasn’t, not in the slightest, but this was Taehyung.
Taehyungs happiness was what mattered to him. He would do anything for him.
*****
Somewhere along the way, Jeongguk had gotten lost in the magic of his so-called ‘quest for true love’ (as if he were a character in a fantasy novel that humans seemed to love).
He’d planned this to be a short endeavour out into St Petersburg and into the thrilling territories of the ‘black market’, which he insisted on calling it despite his butlers differing opinion, but in his head, Jeongguk would dress down into some more casual wear and a cloak to seem as if he were only an elite or common vampire that needed protection from the sun, from there he’d meet up with the seller he’d found through digging through internets most lucrative websites, there’d be some sort of neo-noir film style negotiation where he’d probably get conned into spending more than what the item was priced at(but it’d be worth every cent), they’d shake hands and he’d leave to present his gift to his brother and bride to be.
And maybe he took a little pleasure in knowing how Taehyung would react when he received the gift; it’d cement that nobody knew him well enough or loved him enough to go to such lengths as Jeongguk would. Did.
In his fantasy, Taehyung would feign sickness before bedding his fiancé and sneak into Jeongguks room. They’d kiss each other, Jeongguk would tell Taehyung that he loved him before they’d make love to each other; not , no, that would be later, in this scenario Jeongguk wanted it to be romantic and straight out of a romance novel.
That was what he had planned anyways.
He should have realised with his luck that it would all fall apart at some point; ideally it would have been before he even decided to venture out of the palace alone and completely unawares of the reality of living outside the castle walls. Maybe even when his first few trips out of the palace walls had ended up fruitless.
He should’ve even realised it when he was led into a scummy looking building in the historical district; the only building on the street that had a keep out sign on it. Hindsight really is 20/20 isn’t it?
But no. Jeongguk, in all his innocent naivety to the way the world worked, was all too happy to pay close to 150 million dollars for a priceless Faberge Egg. It’d been going perfectly as the vampire across from him slid over the steel box, Jeongguk had unlocked each of the latches carefully until the gorgeous golden, gem encrusted egg had been revealed to him. The Bouquet of Lilies Clock was beautiful, even he had to admit that the human who designed this had created some perfect. He’d then slipped his hand into his pocket, pulled out a small satchel that contained a perfect blood ruby cut into a rose to see if it would fit in the eggs cavity. It had but that movement, his reaching to uncap the giant egg had caused the fabric of his cloak to shift and the men he was buying from realised who he was from the ugly scar cutting across his throat.
Needless to say, this was not Jeongguks first experience with danger purely because of his status. But it was the first where he came incredibly close to being kidnapped for real.
Out of all the men in the Tepes family royal family, Jeongguk was the most physically capable. His father and his older brothers had all focused on the academic and political side of things which he’d always admired them for but it was never for him, because of both his status and that he just wasn’t that way inclined. Instead, he focused on being the fittest, the strongest, and in a time like this; his ability of knowing how to fight much better than his family really came in handy but even a royal like him had trouble going up against 8 common vampires.
So now he stood there, back against the corner, beaten within an inch of his life and barely able to stand up as he clutched his prize behind his back and two half-dead vampires stalking towards him. This was really it, Jeongguk realised with a strike of fear, this was the moment that he either was killed or kidnapped for ransom. Either way, he didn’t regret it. He came here out of love, he would be happy to go through the worst torture imaginable for Taehyung if it meant he was happy. He’d do anything for his brother, he loved him too much.
But it didn’t mean he’d go down without fighting. That wasn’t his style.
His style was this; snarling like a feral wolf as he placed the box behind him, his teeth and nails elongating to resemble more like the wolves that his family represented, his fight or flight mode going haywire to kill, kill, kill the ones who stood in his way, but two against one near-dead vampire was never good odds. He’d managed to maim one of them when the other had come out of nowhere, one hand grabbing his neck and the other grabbing at his arms, snapping it clean in half.
Jeongguk screamed, the momentary pause being enough to have him shoved onto the floor and his limbs twisting painfully behind him. Forget kidnapping, he was really going to die here. That was when he let himself sob, his entire being going cold at the realisation. Again, he wasn’t afraid to die for Taehyung.
He just didn’t want Taehyung to be the one that found him.
a question...
is it possible to ask for two characters from the beginning?
I'm torn between being a human and a vampire, and the only solution I got is getting two characters XD
