@ꕥ♞ Endi Demneri Night had settled on the horizon like a bad dream. The darkness engulfed the earth slowly, its tendrils winding about her curves until it blanketed the sky. Yan stood there, in the window of his suite, absentmindedly watching the earth give her light up to her night time lover. Through the precipice of the clouds the rays of soft moonlight kissed her. Shining a soft light on the earth that streamed into the window of his suite. These days he didn't sleep well.The night sirens kept him awake. The lingering memories of a time long past consistently made it harder to close his eyes. With a tired sigh he decided to try something he probably should not be able to do by now. The Sheng dynasty was able to walk amongst people's dreams - vampires and humans alike. They were able to augment the dreams realities; create nightmares and augment good dreams. With a deep breath he concentrated, sitting on the edge of his bed as he allowed himself reprieve to listen to the silence around him. He twitched slightly before he fell limp. His astral projection stood in front of his body, a ghostly look on his face as he left the palace in search of someone to dream walk.

@❈♞ Yan Sheng Endi lied awake in her bed, staring up at the ceiling. All the excitement of the ball aside, she couldn't bring herself to sleep once again. Almost every night since she was turned, she had been haunted with nightmares of her husband dying before her eyes. It would be the same scene, over and over again. Him lying next to her in the hospital bed, the fluorescent lights above their heads, him whispering his final 'i love you.' And every time, she would wake up in a cold sweat, unable to sleep for the rest of the night.

She tried to change the dream herself. Thinking of other things before sleep didn't help, nor did actively trying to change the dream while in it. It was always the same. The same room, the same face, the same final words. It must be his spirit haunting her for letting him die alone. She shouldn't have chosen to live as a vampire...she should've died with him. That was the conclusion she had come to after all the nightmares.

And so she was lying awake, dreading what was to come from tonight's rest. After an hour, she couldn't fight her heavy eyelids anymore and eventually drifted off into sleep.
