The door creaks open when Wendy walks inside the library, she looks around to look for a new book to read whenever she has a free time. Her heels clacked against the mapled floor as she walked through the shelves to look for a book. Then when she got her interest, she gets an old hard cover book and opens it, looking its content to see if it is a good one, Wendy then walks to the table and sat on the chair and starts reading.
@❈♞ Park Seonghwa Baekhyun stayed quiet as he listened to Seonghwa yet it felt like a stab....like a stake to his heart. He frowned more as he put his belt on. " turn him...I could care less " he shot a glance at seonghwa. "....just...ignore me right now...I hate showing my weak side..." he sighed running his finger through his hair. Why did he feel this way? It was conflicting, it bothered him to the point that he could concentrate in anything he did. " I just...I want to understand why you let him treat me that way....as if I just...a monster to you....am I a monster to you? Am I a disgusting monster...?!" He wiped his tears away roughly as he looked at seonghwa straight on. Everything felt like it was crashing down on him. Nothing was going to right.
" I'm sorry for turning you....for taking you away....it's my fault...I'm greedy " he picked up his shoes and began putting them on as he wiped his tears. Sniffling quietly, as he tied his shoe laces he closed his eyes wanting to calm his emotions as he had been having several mental breakdowns this week. " I'm just a horrible...thing...just a horrible thing is what I have been getting this week....no breaks...nothing...everyone has a hate towards me.." he shrugged chuckling a bit. " I...i really thought things would be different, I turn you....but you quickly go back to him....stay with him if he means so ing much to you...! I'm sick of people turning their back against me. I'm / sick/ of it....you of all people...I hope you feel my pain...I really hope you feel it " he hissed before walking out of the library slamming the door.
@❈♚ Baekhyun Tepes Seonghwa’s face turned a bright red and he stumbled back a little bit when Baekhyun placed his clothes in his hands. He still considered his main job to be pleasing the king, despite what he was saying. Something in his chest wouldn’t let him stop thinking that of himself. Maybe it was because that’s how he woke up, he wasn’t sure.
So he’d figured he’d done something incorrect, not to his liking, until the king started speaking. As much as Baekhyun was trying to hide it, Seonghwa could feel the similar feeling of tears welling up in his eyes, though his weren’t watering, and the lump in his throat. “It’s...” he started and looked down, pulling his shirt back on and pulling up his pants. “It’s not a lack...” he rolled his lips in and gently chewed on his lower one. “I was angry at the ball, I admit, I don’t know why, and I regret snapping at you, but just because I couldn’t find you didn’t mean I was giving you the cold shoulder. I just said I’d’ve come to you if I knew where you’d gone,” he sighed and brushed his hair back.
“It’s not a lack,” he repeated, “it’s just that I have feelings for the both of you,” he looked to the side and scratched his nape. “I might be greedy, but I want to ask him if I can turn him. And I might be greedier still to say that I want you both. Utterly selfish to say that I love you both,” Seonghwa finished, searching for Baekhyun’s gaze with an oddly thick swallow. “I could never hate you.”
@❈♞ Park Seonghwa Baekhyun's head leaned back against the chair falling from his lips unable to contain them. " mm seonghwa..." he looked running his fingers through his hair tugging in making seonghwa choke on his length. He kept him like that before pulling him back. " pants off down baby, on the couch " he his lips as he ran his hands around the other male while standing up.
Guiding the male to the couch, he kissed his shoulder. the few drops of blood that fell from his neck. " you know how much I care for you seonghwa" he whispered hoping the other would not just think that he wanted to use him and not care. He still felt hurt as he had a few word that seonghwa had said yet he didnt mentioned. It still hurt so he stopped. He sighed " I'm sorry....I cant do this..." he reached for his shirt and slipped it on. He didnt know why he felt as just seonghwa had rejected him for the human. " what does he have...that I dont...?" He asked wanting that question to be in his head but it slipped from his lips. " I just...you change around him...protect him...long for him...then for me...I get the cold glare.." he blinked away his tears not wanting seonghwa to see him as weak. " just....feel like you hate me with a burning passion..." he sniffled pulling his pants up. He had a rough day and just wanted to shut himself away from everyone. He knew it was the only way to calm himself down and getting mad at seonghwa was just making it worse. " I can bid on Youngjo....if you need him" he gave seonghwa his clothing avoiding his eyes
@❈♚ Baekhyun Tepes Seonghwa clung onto Baekhyun when he scooted the chair back, removing the table from Seonghwa's back. He could only whine and squirm closer, desperate for the friction and warmth he'd taken away, and he slowly pulled back from his wrist once the king started to give him orders. Not bothering to his lips clean, he tilted his head to one side as he eagerly returned the kiss he was given. His eyes closed and he moved his lip against the other's to kiss him a few more times, hungrier each time.
After breaking from the kisses he'd been giving him was when Seonghwa sank to his knees on the floor, between the king's legs. His tongue slowly pushed out from between the two tiers, his lips. He quickly removed just enough of the layers veiling Baekhyun's length just to get it out and into his hands, and without hesitation he took it into his mouth. A groan left Seonghwa — muffled — and it didn't die down as he started to bob his head along the shaft, carefully crawling closer and reaching up to grab onto one of Baekhyun's thighs. His eyes fluttered back open to look up at him with a soft whine, some drool already slipping past his lips and down his chin.
@❈♞ Park Seonghwa Baekhyun bit back a moan as Seonghwa sank his teeth into his wrist. It was so different apart from a normal biting spot. " everything huh? " he tugged a bit on his length before letting him go. " bad boys get punished seonghwa, I'm not going to let you off easily so why dont we see what that pretty mouth of yours can do" he his lips as excitement coursed through his body.
He pushed the chai back from the table giving the male room to move. Leaning back, he smirked watching his good obedient elite obey his words as if he had been doing this for years. " you got to earn your wish baby, I'm easy" he ran his fingers through seonghwa's hair pulling him close to kiss him. " ing insane when I'm around you " he growling yet he quickly softened up letting seonghwa continue. The king spread his legs a bit, not use to getting attention.
@❈♚ Baekhyun Tepes Seonghwa lurched forward to bite the king’s neck, but ended up kissing him back instead, fangs grazing over his lower lip. His hips ever so slightly rolled into Baekhyun’s hand, pushing his length further into his palm. The more he rolled his hips, the harder he started to pant, and the harder he’d push. One finger swiped over the remaining blood on his chest, and he the finger clean as he pulled from the kiss. No matter what, it would never cease to amaze him how the king knew just how to touch him, and it would always make him shy, too. “I missed you, e-everything,” Seonghwa murmured, already drooling just the slightest bit as he grabbed Baekhyun’s free arm and sank his fangs into his wrist — his newfound favorite spot on the king
@❈♞ Park Seonghwa Baekhyun's gaze moved up and saw Soneghwa and his fangs showing. "You can drink baby, no need to ask" he whispered as his hands worked on ing the boy's pants lightly taking his length in his hands. His thumb pressed over so lightly over the slit. " I miss your sweet moans as they become music to my ears" he kissed seonghwa slowly and passionately. He couldn't be mad at seonghwa for so long because he felt it too. He felt the rejection but right now he felt warm, soft and safe holding seonghwa in his arms.
@❈♚ Baekhyun Tepes Seonghwa heard and felt his skin give way for Baekhyun's fangs, which made a sharp gasp leap out from inside of him. He covered his mouth to keep quiet, and he nodded once, "Mmhm..." Twice, with a breathy, "I know." A third time, voice slow and hushed, "I'll feed you as often as you'd like." It was one of the things Seonghwa considered a duty of his, feeding the king. And he shifted closer, pressing down on his lap as one hand ed his shirt the rest of the way to make way for anymore blood that would trickle down his chest, the other draping over Baekhyun's shoulder and around the back of his neck. At the smell of his own blood, his fangs decided to pay a visit and poke out against his lower lip, blue eyes sparkling from anticipation
@❈♞ Park Seonghwa "anything? just like them?" he kissed his jawline going down to his neck before he bit down to feed on him as his hands roamed the soft skin. "Mmm my precious little one, you know i care about you and hate to see you angry" he ed Seonghwa's shirt trailing his lips down from his lips to his collarbone as he the blood up that trickled down his elite's neck. "Your blood drives me insane, i love it so much" he felt so weak under the soft gaze of seonghwa. The other had a weird effect that nobody else seemed to be able to do on him. "I'll get you that human but right I want to pamper my baby boy "
@❈♚ Baekhyun Tepes Seonghwa felt the anger from the other and the stress of his own melt away when he called him "little one" and pulled him into his lap. He shifted, pinned against the table a little, and he opened his mouth to speak, to answer, but Baekhyun began kissing him. Once, twice, thrice. He returned each of them, eyelids drooping a little more each time, and he gave some of his own amongst the king's questions. Baekhyun pulled and pressed him closer, and he shifted his body to sit perfectly in his lap with each shift in position, pressing himself and pushing himself a little more. He assumed he was asking what Seonghwa would do in return, and truthfully it was what slipped out of his mouth, "Anything."
@❈♞ Park Seonghwa Hearing seonghwa's words, he groaned a bit as he squeezed seonghwa's thigh a bit harder. " little one..." he looked up as he's expression softened. He cared for seonghwa more than himself and the boy had his way of getting past his anger and make him soft again. " I will say yes BUT under my conditions " he spoke lifting his hand off his thigh before moving the other on to his lap. Pinning him a bit, he looked into his eyes for a few moments trying to formulate the right words to say. " what will you do if I bid on him? hmm ? " he slowly began seonghwa not letting him talk properly. " shhh just stop talking for a bit..." he mumbled as he leaned in closer and pressed the other closer him. "What will my baby do if i grant him his wish? " he whispered.
@❈♚ Baekhyun Tepes Seonghwa flinched when he got closer, sitting rather straight out of slight discomfort. He did miss him... why couldn't he feel that, but he could feel this? At first, the thigh massage made him tenser, his heart pounded in his ears, but eventually he calmed down, and he looked down, letting his legs open a little. "I... just... I was just going to ask you... to bid on him for me. C-cause I want him. But... that's not important, you've already made up your mind. And I've yelled at you. And you hate him," he stared down at the table, eyes not really focused on anything in particular.
@❈♞ Park Seonghwa Baekhyun chuckled a bit " I bet you did miss me....truly missed me" he rolled his eyes as he closed his folder and looked at him. " Seonghwa....you seem anxious and i can feel it..." he got up and went to sit beside seonghwa lowering his anger down. "What is it....I'll give you 5 minutes to think about your words carefully" he laid his head down to rest this horrible headache he had. " i don't like feeling anxious or nervous...." he mumbled a bit as he placed his left hand on seonghwa's thigh gently massaging it to calm Seonghwa down a bit just so the other could think.
@❈♚ Baekhyun Tepes Seonghwa chewed on his lip. He had a few things that snapped in his mind, but he figured he wouldn't say them. It would just add more tension. The last thing the king said, they wouldn't be joining the auction, felt like a slap in the face. He really didn't know what to talk about now, since... well... that's what he wanted to talk about. It seemed like his mind was made up, and they had already fought twice; there was no way he'd get him to change his mind. He faltered a bit over his words, "Well... I-I... just... I missed you is all. I know I snapped at you... twice... but. I still want to apologize... I need to work on being more attentive to you since I am your only elite right now."
@❈♞ Park Seonghwa Baekhyun didn't say a thing while Seonghwa spoke. He didn't want to lash out on the other and make things worse. " No, you called me here now speak" he clicked the pen as he looked with a frown. " why dont you ask your lover about your past....bet he would love to explain to you...ing rude human" he snapped the pen and threw it on the ground. Clearly, there was tension between him and seonghwa and it needed to be cleared out before the day went on. He sighed a bit resting his head against the table "second time you lash out on me.....I had a rough day seonghwa...I dont want to fight anymore...please" he looked up at the other. " just want to have a talk...about the next upcoming event...the auction" he stretched a bit. "I wont be bidding so we will not be joining..." he wrote it down on his notes not sparing the other a glance.
@❈♚ Baekhyun Tepes "I knew you would be fine, we heal," Seonghwa started, reaching down to pet the wolves with a slow breath. He hated getting yelled at. But then Baekhyun jabbed at his loss of memory, the very thing he caused, and his nails grew into long claws, eyes a haunting shade of blue. "If I'm not mistaken," his voice was eerily still calm, "/you/ are the reason I can't remember ANYTHING. So, no, I /don't/ remember 'everything' about him. I apparently forgot his name three times, so if I can barely remember that, how would I suddenly remember everything in a few nights?" he ran his fingers along a couple of the books' spines, tearing the binding. "And secondly, I didn't force you to go to your bedroom and lock yourself in there. We're connected, but I don't know where you are at all times. If I knew that's where you were, I'd have gone there after the dance," his fingers dragged across the spines, crossing the vertical rips he'd just left.
"As for your message? Find better messengers, I didn't even get notified you wanted me," Seonghwa continued with a growl. "And if you didn't turn me to just me and keep me to yourself – stuff like that – act like it. Let me talk to people and want to remember what I was before this. I won't leave you whenever I find out – if that's what you worry about. I'll just know, that's all that'll change. Trust me as you say you do. I trust you, I support you. It's just hard to do those things in person when I can barely find you while you're upset. Why do you think I called you here? I wanted to check on you and I couldn't find you," he sighed and watched the other write in the folder.
He realized he'd snapped at the other again. Why was his temper so bad? But he figured he'd made things worse. "Do you want me to leave you be?"
@❈♞ Park Seonghwa Baekhyun was called into the library by one of his elite and if he was honest, he was pissed. He was mad at Seonghwa for the disrespect that he felt. " Annoyed..." he slammed the book back in its place just before coming eye to eye with the one person he did not wish to speak to. " Oh look who it is" he said in a mocking tone. As the other came and hugged him, his arms stayed up his side balling up in a fist. " Whatever you want, its a no" he genlty pushed the other away and faced the bookshelf again. " Got injured, did you come? no. Did you check on me after the ball? nope, i didnt exist and now Im pissed. Furious, I feel like a ing wolf with rabies" he grabbed a book only to shove it back as a way to not take the anger out on seonghwa. " talking down to me as if I was a ing human" he turned to look at seonghwa.
Closing his eyes, he counted to three to calm down. " did you have a nice dance with your little lover? bet it was nice while I stayed in my bedroom locked up like always because someone felt it was more important to see how a human felt instead of me, or what did you block those feelings out too?!" he snarled a bit. Out of the aisles, his three wolves came running back with a ball in their mouths. Seeing seonghwa, they nuzzled his leg and playfully wagged their tails. " go...go be with him, bet you remember everything about him" he scoffed. Moving away, he went to find a table and sat down running his hands through his hair. " I called you this morning for an important meeting and you didnt come, I have all the right to be mad. im just looking selfish, I have King things to do and you are meant to be there, I didn't turn you just to you and have a happy lucky go time. I have things to do, i need your support " he spoke calmly to seonghwa hoping he would understand. " i trust you...ACT like it" he took out a folder to write a few things down.
@❈♚ Baekhyun Tepes It had been a day or so after the ball, between then and the auction, about a week or more since his turn. He'd spent most of the time thinking about the human he'd danced with, Youngjo, and Seonghwa wanted to ask his king to bid on the other for him. That was the plan he had, walking into the library. He knew he and the human had pissed off Baekhyun, and that Baekhyun had done the same to Youngjo, so he knew he had to approach the situation tenderly... but as soon as he came face to face with the king in one of the aisles, that question bolted out of his mind. There was no way he'd say yes, and he figured there was no way he'd give him a gentle no after what had happened. But he'd called the king to the library, and he refused to waste his time.
The thing he knew best was how to please his highness in most versions of the word, so he wrapped his arms around the other tightly and rested his chin on his shoulder. "I missed you," he mumbled to him, turning his head a little to press a gentle kiss to the corner of his jaw right by his ear.
(i hope this isn't trash i'm not the best at writing tonight)
@☪♛ Heejin Sekhmet Despite his dislike of vampires, not as if he wasn't justified in this dislike, he found himself growing to like Heejin over the years. She was sweet and very lonely, being pent up in the palace all the time. And she was kind to him, even as he was having trouble with adjusting to his new life. No matter how much he acted cold and distant, he still had a soft spot for the little princess. Otherwise, he would've never come back every time she summoned him. Their relationship wasn't too uncommon, but they differed from other vampires and vampire progenies, in the way that they hadn't interacted in a lustful manner in all the years they had known each other. Maybe they were just odd.
Once she wrapped her arms around him and stayed close, he chuckled softly and lifted a hand up to pat her on the back of the head with the other arm holding her loosely. Adam pulled back from the embrace to look down at the short princess, studying her expression. She asked this question almost every time he had to come to the palace from his place in the city and every time, he gave the same answer. "It's alright, princess. You ask that as if I wasn't just here two days ago," he said with a soft tone. He clicked his tongue with a quick shake of his head as he looked at her begging amber eyes.
"I swear...in all these years, I haven't found you a new friend," he teased. Stepping away, he looked around at the bookcases before turning on the ball of his foot towards the nonfiction books. "Would we happen to have any books on plants in here? I'm picking up a new interest."
@ꕥ♛ Hyuna Bathory “Oh well, do whatever you consider right. I’d be the last person to actually judge it. I am just warning you that I have caught people talking about it behind your back. You should be aware of that, don’t you?” She said with a smirk to her lips. “Oh sure, you did a good job with that but out of age I am still the one who should be queen. Plus, I am Elizabeth’s daughter. I am the one who is worthy of taking over my mother’s role.”
She didn’t like talking about the loss of her mother, about anything that had happened back then. No one could know what had been going on and she was glad that no one would ever manage to figure out why she had left as it was her personal business to deal with. “During the war? I was the one protecting our people, those weak and ill who do not live around here. Have you ever thought about those? I just don’t need a title to honour what I did.”
Andy had always been bored by politics. Big speeches didn’t change anything as long as no one acted on them. They could have found her and to her it seemed more like a half-hearted excuse than anything else that it had or hadn’t been supposed to be. It hurt her slightly to realize that she was actually not as welcome as she had hoped she would be.
“Family isn’t about proof, is it? This is not some sort examination. With this sort of behaviour you are losing me. I planned not to disappear again as I love being around my family again but if I can’t be accepted as such without conditions I should take my leave right now. Then you also don’t have to worry about that lovely position of yours even though I never wanted it in the first place.”
She sighed. Her expectations had been quite different. Hyuna made her feel like she wasn’t important, like she didn’t belong here, like she would never be part of her family because only now she had come back. It wasn’t her fault, she hadn’t known that her family even still existed.
“Well, my dear Queen, it doesn’t seem like you want me to keep you company so maybe I should go and figure out if anyone else would enjoy my company.” Nonetheless, she kept standing in front of Hyuna and waited. Maybe the other woman would reconsider her choice even though Andy wasn’t too sure about that.
@❈♞ Lee Hyukjae For Jeno, everything happened all too fast and the next thing he realized is that the man is talking to him and checking if he's okay or not. Blinking like a fool and shaking his head lightly to bring himself back to his own reality, he looked up at the latter male who seems to be kind yet still emanate that authority, he took a step back and quickly looked down, fumbling with his fingers as he nodded to answer the latter's question with his hushed voice.
"Y-Yes. . . I'm fine. I-I'm so sorry for disturbing you, I hope you forgive me. . ." He mumbled under his shaky breath as he heaves out a deep one, not wanting to meet the gaze of the latter as he can sense that he's one of those otherworldly creatures they spoke of who rules all of the palace and even the realm where he is from. Biting his bottom lip as his face soon starts to show worry, Jeno tries to keep his composure until the latter dismisses him, hoping this will be his first and last encounter with a vampire or he might be feasted on when he bumps into someone not as kind as this one.
@♙ Lee Jeno A bump on his feet, and simultaneously, the sound of books scattering and someone falling. Concentration was immediately broken, attention snapped to the origin of the noise, book forgotten beneath fingers. Judging by the momentary weight to his feet, whoever had fell must have tripped over them.
Volumes of divergent breadth and length strewn across the carpeted floor, some opened and others not, a few lying with pages to the ground whilst the remainder rested on spines, sheets flipping. Standing up, Hyukjae instantly noticed the boy on the ground, rounding the table to be beside the male. An apologetic expression embellished his features, a hand grazing the boy’s arm, gaze darting to catch signs of if the boy was injured.
“Are you okay? Are you hurt anywhere?”
Picking up the books and stacking them once more, Hyukjae stowed them away on the table, kneeling before the boy soon after.
“I’m so sorry- I didn’t realise how far I was stretching my legs.”
Helping the boy to his feet, Hyukjae glanced down at the former, eyes glinting in worry.
@☪♞ Adam Driver Her eyes lit up immediately at the sound of his voice, the familiar hush of it a welcome sound to her senses. The relationship between vampire and vampire progeny was often a complicated one, in a way the relationship could be similar to a parent and child. But due to the often sinful nature of vampires, these relationships could often take a more lustful or turbulent turn. And then even others often took on a more platonic but protective bond, it wasn’t uncommon for the vampire that was turned to feel protective of their maker.
An impish smile graced her pixie-like countenance, quickly pulling herself up to her feet. Before he could raise his head, Heejin rushed forward gleefully and wrapped her small frame snugly against him. “I missed you.” She purred out, tilting her head up to look at his face, her smile still beaming across her visage.
But after a moment of looking into his eyes, she suddenly felt a wave of whispering guilt for summoning him so suddenly, practically with no warning. She didn’t want to exasperate him too much by making him be in a place he had obvious disdain for. “You’re not cross with me for calling you here again right?” Her countenance faltered into a look of mild worry; amber irises peppered with merlot red flecks widened into her signature “puppy eyes” expression.
@☪♛ Heejin Sekhmet It was late morning when Adam received a notice from a page about Heejin wanting him to come to the palace. These sorts of requests weren't uncommon, ever since he left the palace after living there a couple of years. Heejin, the one who sired him, never ventured outside, and she had grown distant from her twin brother, so a lot of her free time was spent doting on Adam. At first, their relationship was rough. She viewed herself as saving him, but he saw it was being forcibly turned. He grew up despising vampires, then became one. The first few weeks at the palace he spent locked up in his room, only ever going out at night if he needed to feed. Eventually, he got over his anger and decided to spend time with Heejin. He sort of felt bad for her, in a way. She couldn't control her blood lust like the rest of her family so she locked herself inside the palace and most other vampires were busy with their...personal activities. So Adam let her call on him whenever and - similar to a needy little sister.
As soon as she granted him some freedom, he moved out. Adam now owned a plot of land and a decently sized estate, where he lived on his own with a dog and a horse. Most of his days were spent checking on the humans of the area, making sure they were in line, and other personal things. He could have space and time for himself, away from the vampires who only seemed to care about themselves in their marbled halls. The requests from Heejin didn't stop, however, but they did decrease a bit. Maybe she understood how much he detested everyone else. Regardless of his personal feelings, however, he had to tend to her whims. Once the page arrived with the request, he sighed and nodded, setting aside his worn out black book. He had begun a new hobby of studying botany in his spare time and had collected some plants, flowers, and herbs from the grounds of his estate.
Adam put a dark cloak on over his head, shielding himself from the sun's harmful rays, before saddling up on his black horse, Arbiter. The ride was quick and uninterrupted, thankfully. He left Arbiter at the stables with the other royal horses before going back inside the familiar palace. A guard notified him that Heejin was last seen inside the library, which didn't surprise him. The library was where they spent most of their time, reading books together and her causing some trouble for him. Maybe he could grab a few books on plants while he was there. He opened up the doors to the library and strolled in, finding the small vampire sitting next to a bookcase. "My lady, you asked for me?," he said with a bow of his head.
@❈♞ Lee Hyukjae The whole ordeal she's now in just because she rolled dice is something that she never expected, not in her 21 years of existence, at least. Yesterday, she was still a normal university student but now, she's stuck in a palace with still no people in sight aside from the guards who took her here and just dropped her off. As uneasiness still looms over her, Yoojung can't help but look around the Imperial Palace or so that's what people call this place. Being so careful, almost tiptoeing, Yoojung walked around with her phone in her hand, her system alert for anything that might happen.
After half an hour or so of traversing through the seeming solitude halls of the palace, Yoojung found a door that for some reason enticed her to walk towards as its large two doors adorned with such detail that the door itself already mesmerized her. Hesitating for a second, she then placed her palms against the large doors and opened it with all her might as it's quite heavy and soon enough, rows of shelves filled with books came into view and Yoojung couldn't be any happier.
She's called a bookworm by her closest friends for a reason; she treats books as her companion. She loves reading and she enjoys moving from one genre onto the next, she doesn't discriminate. From autobiographies to encyclopedias, she has read almost all genres of books available and seeing such a place made her smile brightly for the first time ever since she was brought to this place.
Looking around like a kid brought to her favorite amusement park, Yoojung started to roam around and even pick books that will be her own escape as she intends to bury herself in this place by passing time to read books until she's sure she won't run into anyone when she steps out of this place. With books stacked in her arms, Yoojung starts to walk towards a table and was about to settle when her foot got caught onto something and soon enough, she finds herself falling onto the carpeted floor, her books shuffled onto the ground as she groans, slowly starting to get up and see what caused this, only to find a man reading with books down his feet, which was the point of obstacle and the reason why Yoojung almost plopped face down first.
@♙ Choi Yoojung Serenity imbued the expansive library, silence carried to nooks and crannies, tranquility existing in timeless instant, as if frozen in history. Still tomes stood compact on shelves, motes of dust scattered on surfaces and floating in the air, lamp luminescence making known of these tiny substances’ existence. Flowing curtains drew close across tall windows, blocking out sunlight from streaming in, slivers of illumination peeking between the thin gap of two heavy fabrics, though not enough to be the source of radiance.
Yellowed sheet of an ancient book was grasped gently by careful finger pads, the paper flipped to reveal new texts neatly lining the page. Chestnut eyes roamed the written descriptions, mind focused in absorbing the information laid before his orbs. Alabaster cheek rested against smooth knuckles, elbow propped on the surface of a mahogany table.
Quiet moments as such were Hyukjae’s favourite — uninterrupted and free from an obligation to entertain. Stories told by writers, although foolish or impossible, were routes of escape from reality to the vampire. No judgement, no restrictions, only held back by how high one wishes to reach, and Hyukjae is a high flyer, nothing to stop his mind from wandering.
Concentration plays a major role in Hyukjae’s behaviour while reading, so the elite Tepes didn’t realise when the magnificent doors of the library’s entrance were pushed open.
@☪♞ Adam Driver The days had been passing so fast lately, blurring together into one long memory that seemed to stretch on and on, getting less clear the more it stretched. Though Heejin supposed the life of a vampire would always be this way, the price of immortality, time suddenly becomes utterly meaningless. But luckily for her, she did have some tricks of amusement of her sleeve. For example, she had only one progeny, whom she utterly adored. He was an interesting creature, so serious and silent. Though that made it all the more fun for her to . He was her favorite play thing, and if he had still been a human he most definitely would've been her most prized courtier.
The sunlight revealed golden dust motes that floated lazily around the small princess, touching her form like a dazzling golden halo. The library was one of her favorite places to be in the palace, it was always warm with sunlight from the giant windows, and better yet it was quiet. Here she could open any book and have all her troubles melt away, all her boredom and restlessness cured in an instant. However today, she sighed suddenly, it just wasn't cutting it.
In one sudden movement, she snapped the current book she was reading shut with a loud sharp thud, tossing it off to the side. A small tug on her heart reminded her that she had summoned Adam back to the palace today, she felt a tinge of guilt at that action, she knew how much he hated this place, but she was beyond bored and incurably lonely. In the past when she felt such a way it was her brother she would go and seek out, but that changed quickly after his...accident. Sometimes she wondered if god, if such an entity existed, had placed Adam in her path on purpose, after all, she had managed to turn him without killing him. A miracle considering her abnormality of being the only pureblood in existence to have no control over her blood lust. Heejin could recall clearly the moment she had smelt his blood, following the scent in a daze. He had been left to die in the middle of his fallen comrades, their blood mixing with his, calling him to the otherside. But for whatever reason she had been compelled to save him, turn him.
Another sigh emitted from her, drawing her knees up to her chest as she rested her back against the bookcase, the coolness of the marble floor seeping into her skin where she sat. He was running late, and she was becoming increasingly more bored. Where was he?
@ꕥ♛ Andy Bathory "I see nothing shameful in the relationship with my brother" Hyuna answered simply. It was true though, she wasn't ashamed in the slightest for loving her brother even if they only act on these feelings when alone. It was simply of no business for those outside their family. "I earned the title myself by leading our people in the war, fighting for them to lead a better life without hiding."
"Where were you during the war? Also where have you been when... mother and father were murdered?" She wanted to seem strong but her voice wavered faintly as she mentioned her parents death, remembering that day vividly even if dacades went by already. Pushing her shoulders back she regained her composure quickly. Pushing her emotions down.
"I'm fearing nothing. I sent my people looking for survivors after the war but they found no trace of you. Also as you can probably guess I had to think of stabilizing our position befre the humans could form alliances against us, I couldn't just leave everything behind irresponsibly or every life lost in battle would have been in vain." She ended up rambling about politics but stopped at the olders next words, she flinched at those words.
She did care about family, more than anything but showing this to someone she didn't know would put her in a vulnerable position. Who knows? She could be acting nice now but in the end betray their family given the chance, Hyuna knew nothing about this woman before her. She lied, she was scared... scared to welcome someone into her life who already had a past of vanishing from earth... someon who could disappear again when she allowed to open her heart to her grand aunt.
She already lost many whom she loved before. She hated to admit that she was wrong but her family almost got wiped out fully already, she didn't want to miss a chance of reuniting with another family member if given the chance.
"If you believe that I don't care about family, you're wrong. Before I can welcome you wholeheartedly you have to prove that you won't just vanish again. I won't let you get close to my brother, nephews or cousins, only to leave them heartbroken. I don't want them to ever witness losing a family member again" -me too, want to never lose someone of my family again- she thought.
@ꕥ♛ Hyuna Bathory She listened to the, clearly hostile, rant staying quiet until the other woman had finished her rambling. Andy knew that she wasn’t welcome but, nonetheless, she would have expected to have a woman in power act with more reason. After all, Andy had not yet acted in any way that would threaten Hyuna’s position as queen. Even though as a direct relative, the daughter of Elisabeth Bathory herself even, it was her right to claim the throne.
“Ah---that certain brother you have a rather, let’s say, interesting relationship with?” On her excursions through the palace Andy had been surprised by certain actions in the red room. She was not one to judge but the power over this knowledge intrigued her. “Interesting enough how a certain title can change everything, but not at all something to use in the family context. Plus, we both know who the title belongs to, don’t we?”
“I abandoned you? How so? We’ve never even met before, young lady. How can I abandon a family that I don’t know of? The news of the Bathorys’ having survived the war had reached me only recently. How should I have known about my sisters children?” Andy had no reason to explain while she had left back then. It had been and still was her own business. She had had her reasons, obviously.
“You, on the other hand, knew that I exist. You could have, in your position, started looking for me. You didn’t. And while you may have thought that I was dead, it is still no apology for such a matter. I’m rather quite sure that you feared me claiming your position, you didn’t want to have it stolen from you.”
While she threw all this at the younger woman’s head, her voice was still calm, relaxed even as she knew how to lead a discussion ruled by words. Though it was sad that her family hadn’t welcomed her with open arms. She had waited for so long for a place to finally call him, for people to sustain her and her past. Maybe even this place she had to leave again no matter it being her family. But was it really a family when all they did was approaching her with anger?
“In all honesty, it is sad to see that your position matters more to you than family. Even if I haven’t been around I am still your family, ain’t I? I am your grand aunt after all. I expected you to at least welcome me in a more friendly manner.” Andy sighed.
“But it doesn’t matter, I guess. Should leave you alone then.”
a question...
is it possible to ask for two characters from the beginning?
I'm torn between being a human and a vampire, and the only solution I got is getting two characters XD
