So hoseok’s version is similar to this but clearly not as hard on the legs like the main dancer here since hoseok’s dance style looks more like he has no bones

/rather than one of those quiet nights where the dance rooms in the studio building were empty except one, because it was rush hour, it was already getting more and more packed each minute. Or at least that’s how it seemed. Hoseok was lucky his class got dismissed early today. Because of that he /didn’t/ have to wait until a room was open like usually when he comes around evening. Bonus because now he can truly practice on his audition piece for this part-time job position he wanted. Was he qualified for the position? Yes, maybe a little over qualified considering his dance background./

/Before college, dance was his hobby and something he trained on, from asking his mom to enroll him in the dance academy after school when he was young, being named a young prodigy in that academy eventually, to ending up joining an underground street dance team and winning many dance competitions and battles in that team as NEURON’s Smile Hoya. Of course that was all before college. Though during his beginning college years he had to give up pursuing dance as a means to a living, he still joined the college’s dance team in the country area. And with 2 other dancers they created a subunit of the dance club organization Tree, hoseok being known as JHope. Before those 3, the college’s dance club barely got recognized for anything. Afterall the private Christian university was known more for academics like law, business , pre-med and honors. With the addition of the hip hop subunit though, the dance organization was praised and the members were recognized. Hoseok and one other member even ended up getting invited to a lot of frat parties. That’s before hoseok’s whole epiphany happened, he changed his major and decided to pursue his passion completely/

/actually…scratch that. Now repeating all that, maybe hoseok’s way over qualified for this part-time-job, considering his background. But I guess none of that mattered when it came to this audition. That stuff was all in the country. This is the city. Even if you win a couple competitions here and there against other city college’s dance organizations, that still isn’t considered “professional.” And Hoseok felt like the city crowd barely recognized people from colleges as a individual. So here in this big city, hoseok didn’t think people would know him as Smile Hoya or JHope. Enrolling in a new college too wouldn’t help that either- well except in the colleges’ dance organizations- if they fought against Tree /and/ recognized him as JHope from it. Hoseok himself didn’t think he had such a popular reputation or face for that. Especially since he still wasn’t the center in Tree’s subunit except for dance breaks where isolation popping and locking or moving with a body looking like jelly bones was needed. Afterall the other reason Tree became so popular was not only because they were good at dancing together but the main dancer had charm and style and the left/right to the mirror hand dancer had the looks. Basically Tree’s Dancers were more good looking than the usual dancers from the college- though people would say Hoseok was the least good looking in social media until they saw him in real life, not having a smaller face like most Koreans but bringing a different kind of good looking kind of look. Rather than charm, style, and looks though, Hoseok was mainly the technique and looking effortless left/right to the mirror hand side dancer- even if he showed time and time again he could bring the charm and style too when put in the center and finally being able to go all out. Even despite being the dance teacher of the other two. That’s how it is when dancing in a group. When not in the center, you had to stay in sync and not stand out too much until your solos. So knowing all this, the best thing hoseok thought he could do for this audition is not only show he can dance but wow the interviewers somehow someway. Not too serious of a dance either, something fun that learners of dance will vibe with. It’s good that he’s not bad at freestyling. He’s halfway there./

/but enough of his background, let’s move onto what’s happening now shall we?/

/hoseok continued to dance as energetic and all out as if he was doing a solo. Punching towards the ground, he locks his arms then pops right on beat, smiling to his self in the mirror in front. His face lit up as he noticed each new movement then he spun around pivoting before blinking at the figure/ ah! /he jumped shouting a little before he laughs then swallows. He inhales catching his breath as he placed his hands on his waist, getting his composure together as the music continued booming before grinning. It wasn’t one of his hard dances to truly sweat a lot but it did require a lot of body control/ man I didn’t see ya there! /he shouts over the music. It turns out your “uh” was barely audible over all the booming music. Smiling, he looks at you a little confused, a little embarrassed too before walking over to turn the music off. He didn’t expect to see a person he met in the lounge in his daily life too. He smiles coming back/ fancy seein you here man! /he smiles looking to your eyes. He couldn’t tell what you wanted so he just asks/ you need somethin?

@人┊jung hoseok hyunjin was a great dancer. he had been praised by many dance teachers, yet his shy and demure nature around the others was the obstacle in his way. he should have pursued his dancing career, maybe, just maybe he would have signed with a good label and gotten himself and yongbok outside of Yunmeng. but hyunjin was a coward. he was the dancer, who stayed at the back already deep into his own world. he had this particular dance style - no matter what he did or how he danced, they always looked so sharp yet flowing, not missing even a single beat.

hyunjin was a hard working dancer, he found himself wandering around the studio rather early than he usually came . he always went to his private place at the night. a place, where he could finally let out his alpha and the frustration without shifting. his feet brought him to the familiar dance practice room, yet he stopped in his tracks. there was a light illuminating from the door and a loud music could be heard. hyunjin recognised the song and shook head in disbelief. the janitor knew hyunjin and his obsession with dancing, so they did not care if he was there. but there was a human, a stranger in his hidden spot.

his hand ached to twist the doorknob and see who the intruder was. he entered the room and suddenly his senses were blown by the loud music and human scent. it was not pleasant, yet it was not disgusting. he could feel the sweat mixed with the cleaning agent, he felt the other's pants and how the sweat ran down his forehead. hyunjin stood there a bit dumfounded, his eyes focusing on the way the other moved. 'uh.' he let out a soft sound and stood there as if he was frozen before the other noticed him.

/the music boomed in the dance studio, resounding throughout the walls as he danced. He was lucky his class finished early that he could set up here before rush hour. That way he could finally have a room to practice on his audition piece. If he wanted to follow his dream it only made sense to start a part-time with it too./

/as he popped and locked on the dance floor of the studio room, letting the music take control, he then paused with his knees bent in place/ and then… and then this? /turns half way before popping his arms. No…maybe not, he frowns lightly. He wasn’t impressed with it. He already repeated that move near the beginning so he can’t just do it again/ what goes here… /he hums returning back to his phone after pausing the music speakers to check how the recording was going before he hummed biting his lip/ I /could/ use the ground but hm…I was thinkin to save that for ‘fore or after the bridge… /he writes some possible options in his notes before walking back to the middle of the gym and letting the music repeat again, now marking his dance a little before eventually sighing and returning back to his phone/ okay maybe I’ll just freestyle it to get ideas…

/he nods before turning on the music once more, jogging to his spot with his head down waiting for the beat to drop. Once it does, he looks to the front as the rapper’s voice queues him in. “What you know about rollin down in the deep?” Hoseok pops and locks, swaying to the side as if he’s using his bouncy technique to look effortless all while making use of isolations. Isolating his head and shoulders to really sway, completely in his element as he both enjoys and dances the parts he had choreographed so far/
