@✸┊jin ryujin ᵇ Reba looked at the younger wolf as she stand still in front of her, commanding Ryujin to hit again as she told her that this is all a training." If you don't do it I will have no choice to report it back to your father and give you a fail on this training, so is all up to you on what result you going to get." She scolded her trainee as she look at Ryujin with a disappointed gaze, crossing her arms in front of her chest as the alpha stepped back while waiting for the other to do as she told her to do." So what you are going to do, fight me or be a disobeying soldier. "
@✸┊jin dilreba ᵃ[h ²⁰ᵗʰ ⁿᵒᵛ] her eyes naturally moved down, head hung low. she and her partner were ashamed. when the second in command suddenly mentioned her father, she felt cheeks burn in shame even more, her head hanging low to hide her face behind her long bangs. ryujin nod head, feeling her partner to do the same. suddenly, Dilreba sent her partner away and now it was her against the second in command. her eyes refused to meet the other, all she could do was obey. ryujin nod head at her question and only then she dared to look up. the second in command decided to attack first yet ryujin somehow could feel and predict her move, moving away and dodging her hit. the beta's smaller frame was her advance as she could move faster and even more efficiently. when she dodged another hit, moving to the side she suddenly yelled. 'second in command jin, I cannot hit you back.' she was bewildered at the mere thought of harming the older.
@✸┊jin ryujin ᵇ[h] The Jin alpha was watching over them as everyone began training with their partners, but she was focusing on one particular couple that was being playful and weren't taking this serious as the others. She walked toward the younger trainees that she had her eyes on this whole time, it was none other than Ryujin and her partner, she thought that the young beta would be just like her father who would take everything seriously so she wasn't too happy about their training session." Jin Ryujin, what were you doing? Do you know this is a training to make yourself stronger and to learn all the skills you need to protect yourself from all the enemies that you might encounter in the future." Reba was disappointed to say the least, she was even little angry at how Ryujin treat this as playful fun when it was meant to be taking seriously." I was trained under your father, and when I know you are his daughter I was so happy that I can help you just like he helped me before. " The alpha shook her head and called the beta's partner and decided to train Ryujin herself.
" Now I will train you myself, so you will be more focused. And I won't go easy on you just because you are his daughter." Jin Reba scolded the beta with her soft voice, even though she had done that for a long time, but seeing Ryujin was like this really made her feel some type of anger and was hoping that she could change her attitude a little." Let's start, shall we?" They begin training as the alpha made her first move and attack toward her trainee, trying to see her reflection.
@✸┊jin dilreba ᵃ[h ²⁰ᵗʰ ⁿᵒᵛ] her cheeks became bright red, her eyes twinkling with determination to become stronger..better and carry the reputation of her father. she was proud of who he had become and she wanted to keep the reputation and respect as it was. when the second in command about giving extra work, she was not scared. ryujin was never scared of hardships. she was born to overcome them and upgrade herself.
as the female dismissed them, ex training buddies all mingled with each other. they hugged and greeted each other, the tent being filled with happy chatter. they sipped warm tea from the thermos, laughing and exchanging with stories. suddenly, the second in command approached them, ryujin was ready to invite her to drink tea with them yet she suddenly offered help. the warrior was grateful that their second in command was a caring person, making her look up at the other. ryujin eagerly nod head and smiled. 'yes, ma'am.' and they returned back to the chat. after a while they were called in for the training. it was getting colder than usual, since lanling was a rather warm kingdom. they stood in line and waited for the instructions. they were asked to couple by two and practiced the basic combat techniques. instead of focusing on their movements, ryujin and her partner laughed and playfully kept throwing each other on the ground, before suddenly a voice stopped them.
@✸┊jin ryujin ᵇ[sh ³ ⁿᵒᵛ] Reba looked at the younger with a smile as she answered her, nodding her head before walking toward the beta." You look just like your father, he was someone who I looked up to when I first join the force. I'm glad you are here to follow your father's steps, but just so you know I won't go easy on you. " She looked at everyone in the room as she return with her strict face, cleared as she crossed her arms in front of her chest." And everyone, I will train you like how I was trained. So just be prepared for what is next, it will really tough for the next few days." She smirked softly as she tells her subordinates to give all the files that they need to study and learn for the training, making sure that everyone understand what they need to do.
The alpha sat back on the chair as she watches everyone, reading the files with them as she came patient with all the new recruits. She looked at Ryujin once again as she stood up from her seat, walking slowly toward Ryujin as she smiled softly. " Ryujin, if you have any kind of question I will love to help you. And If you need some trainings in the future I can also help you." Reba gently pats on the beta's shoulder, looked around the room as she check for everyone else to see if they needed some help as well." We will start your training very soon, so finish up your readings and head out to the training ground to get ready and wait for our arrival." The second in command walked out of the room with subordinates back to the office, talking to them and discussed about the training session.
@✸┊jin dilreba ᵃ ryujin was a solider. she chose that path when she was a child. her father - the well respected soldier as well- was her inspiration. the beta loved hearing the stories about the battles and how they served the kingdom. she wanted to be there as well, be useful for the royal family. she was quite small for a soldier yet it gave her advances in a close combat. she was small, short and could move quickly and her punches were more effective as the enemy could not even predict her next movements.
it was an annual training in the mountains. as the soldiers graduated, they were put in the same division. it was the turn of her division - division no.9 - to be at the training grounds in the dafan mountain. the beta was excited, it was long time since she saw her mates.
ryujin was on time. they chitchatted among themselves until the second in command suddenly arrived. they got in their positions and waited for the instructions. as per usual, there was a small introduction from the second in command herself. ryujin always admired Dilreba - she was not taller than her, but her aura was amazing. as soon as the alpha stepped in the room, everyone was intimidated by her presence. she was strong, smart and respected - someone ryujin wanted to be. she was in awe, almost daydreaming before her name was called out. 'here!' she saluted the second in command and stepped forward.
Jin Reba was getting ready for a training session for the new recruits that join the pack's army, looking in the mirror as she wear her usual outfit before exit her house and headed to the mountain for the training today. She drove with other trainers in one car as they headed toward the mountain, chatting in the car as they share laughter but also how to train the new recruits when they get there. Soon they arrived at the top of the mountain which not too high since they still need some fresh air for them to live, even though they have better chance of surviving since they were all wolves. Getting out of the car as they walked toward the area for the training session, looking over at all the new recruits that were waiting for them to arrived made them look really happy at the same time really stressed since they were short handed with trainers these days. But for the time being this would have to be it, they walked in front of everyone as they start calling out names.
When Reba spot a name on the list she was little surprised since the name sounded so familiar as she was trained by someone who had the same surname, she remembered that the he was a very strict man when it came to training soldiers and new recruits just like she was. She called name from the list, making sure that she wasn't mistake." Shin Ryujin, are you here?" She asked as she waited for the girl's response, looking in the crowd and searching for that familiar face. The alpha wanted to make sure that she was the daughter of the general that she remembered from long time ago.
@☁┊ lan feiyu ᵇ Feiyu was amusing. The other reminded him in a way, of the little pups that he often trained and took out to hunt, and of himself and his peers when they were much younger. It was- well, it was cute. Childishness was also a mark of somebody who didn’t have as many weights on their back as he did. “Rabbits are…” Chen paused, looking for a delicate way to arrange his words, “vital, if you are starving after a long trek. You shouldn’t be picky, you know! Only puppies are picky.” He scolded, albeit in a half fond, half joking way, using his hand to intentionally tussle the others hair up even more, to complete his tired traveller’s look. “You can’t rile me up from that alone, you know? But I suppose I did promise. If you want deer then we will aim for deer, although,” and here the protector fixed the other in a steady, but goading look, “you aren’t planning to sit here and wait for me, surely? Maybe I’ll choose to never come back, and then you’ll get lose here forever-“ a slight lean forward, teasing smirk tugging at the corner of plush lips, daring the lan to make another comeback. “Well- I won’t wait for you, regardless, so. Please keep up or there’ll be no dinner, yeah?” With a last laugh he drew back to strip, shedding the white robes to avoid them getting ripped apart in the shift that followed seconds after, pacing a steady circle around the other to encourage him do the same.
@✸┊jin chen ᵇ "Climbing that mountain alone made me knock at my death bed." As far as exaggeration goes, Feiyu wasn't the one to hesitate at all; being whiny but adding fancy words was part of memory he couldn't recall hence he clung to it in hopes of finding the cause one day. Though he began doubting whether his search would be fruitful. He groaned, petulant gaze trained on the other as if that would save his pride and, well, stupid legs. The idea of trainig his body came numerous times to him but getting down to work a sweat seemed rather unappealing. Maybe he should change his goal to a rich merchant rather than a vagrant. "Rabbits are precious creatures. How could you hurt them?" At that moment, strength found him and he stood up, clasped lips so he would not whine again. "How hard it is to find a deer or something? Don't we have mountain goats? I was expecting to see your amazing skill but really," he gave a look at Chen,"this is all. Hah!"
@☁┊ lan feiyu ᵇ “I know you read, I do too.” Was Chen’s reply, a touch of the satirical in his tone. As a wolf, he found the other an utterly incomprehensible creature. Research? Sure, he respected the scholars who knew much, much more than he ever would. But for the beta to participate in practically no wolf-like events at all- it was a concept he found too difficult to imagine. It was almost as if the Lan wanted to live like a human… “Just less than you, but you know. I’m not even going that fast yet! You managed to climb down all the mountains of the cloud recesses just to meet me, but you can’t spare few more steps here?” He made a tasking noise, just to drive in his disapproval, reaching out to lightly bonk the other on the head because he knows there would be no resistance. “Yes, yes- I promised to show you, but even I can’t hunt where there’s no prey to be found, you know? And you’re such a picky eater too, Mr. I-won’t-eat-rabbits.”
No men born equal, a wisdom gained from personal experiences yet it never fails to bruise one's pride a little — Feiyu's very own pride as someone who has managed to climb the ladder of hierarchy through intelligence yet falls short, maybe shorter than most, at physical activities. You were titled as smartass and still fail to outdo the brute strength? Ouchie! Despite his dislikeness toward the aftermath of physical activities — sweating and feeling like his lungs might give up are two things he loathed but he had to bear through it if he wants to travel one day all by himself on his search for answers. "Listen," Feiyu sounded like a dying creature, voice frail as he took another lungful, hands on his knees as he bent in, "listen.... I read. I read. Oh, lord, hold on." The said pride of a wise man left him quick for a much needed rest and he found himself leaning against the tree. "I will die if I take one more step!" He lamented, exaggeration at its peak, hands thrown up in the air. "Beside, you are faster than general people like us." And add in a couple of same old excuses. "I thought you are going to show me hunting skills. Like show. Make a show kind of thing. Not this torture." Again. Maybe complaining each time has its own merits. "I'm not eating rabbits though. And no raw meat."
@☁┊ lan feiyu ᵇ Running at night was freeing. Feeling the flush and the world rush by, grass cool beneath one’s feet, and nothing but the quiet of the stars glittering in eternity above. It was beauty, in a quiet, isolated fashion, and it made him feel like there was once again air in his lungs. Chen doesn’t regret taking on the row on protector, truly. His chest swells in pride knowing that despite being a beta, he was able to provide and protect his people. But it was stifling, some times. There were some things forever barred to him because of his rank and position, and the weight of the responsibility on his shoulders sometimes creaked and groaned, forever threatening to swallow him whole in the abyss of its dark promises. It was easy to abandon that, running in the mountains- where, he occasionally thought, if he ran deep enough into, nobody would be able to find him again. It was a tantalizing dream. The draw of a ragged breath grounds him, though, and he turns to laugh (not unkindly) at the man lagging behind, possibly because Chen had rather mischievously chosen to run as a man and not a wolf just yet. “Done for the night already?” He teased, voice warm and full of mirth, treading a slow circle around the Lan. “Come on, when was the last time you got any exercise? Months ago? At this rate you’ll die of hunger before we catch something-“
