Well, Lisa-ssi are your leader, I can't say I'm surprized, and I believe this is a very logical and reasonable decision ladies - she already has some experience, having debuted and promoted with aurora before, so she will certainly be of great support and can offer guidance.

Right, well, last item on my list - I have just sent you all an email with the debut package so far - you will find lyric docs, sheet music, demo tracks, some styleguides as well. Feel free to work on the tracks and polish them, give them your personal touch. Feel free to be in touch with the choreography and styling team to find out more details or to help.
You will also notice that your debut will be an EP. Three songs are already on there - the pre-debut Ice Cream Cake, the debut track we just discussed Red Light, and the song you created for 9Lives - Lion. Well, I can help you with the French, ladies, I've spent enough time with my sister there. When you address the girls ONLY you can use "chérie/chéries". But if there is even one male fan in the bunch, you must use "chéri/chéris". And as mentioned, I would also advise you to stay away from the royal concept, given that we also have Royal Flush here - let's not get you into fanwars for "stealing" someone's concept before you even debuted.
So, "cœur" it is, nice one-syllable, packs an impact, I like it! I will also let the staff know to start production of the heard hammer. Very nice, very nice.

@❖ stephanie hwang Yewon dreaded the day of the meeting ever since the trainees got sent the notification they would be needed for something important in their emails. Everyone else seemed to be excited, most of them even mentioning they were 'so sure we're debuting. To be honest, Yewon couldn't care less. She just didn't want any more work. Trainee life was exhausting, but she could not even imagine what an idol's every day would even look like. Always having to put on your best mask, getting up at 5 am to get your makeup and hair done while having to keep up the small talk with the staff so people won't think you're rude, endless schedules, and fans that only see you as a toy they can throw money at and have you dance and sing for them.

Nevertheless, the day was here and she had to admit it: she was nervous. Ever since the program ended, people told her she had barely had any screen time, and viewers didn't exactly remember much about her aside from her missing out on a round because she had been sick. This could either mean she'd have to put in the extra work to improve her overall image with the public or... she would be let go. And that just could not happen, not right now. She wasn't ready to let go just yet.

Basically ready to beg if she needed to, the trainee stood in line next to the other trainees, anxiously pulling on the fabric of her sleeves, chewing on her lower lip as she waited for the girls to shut up so the meeting could start. Once it did, her gaze followed the speaker's every motion, so nervously she barely reacted to the attempt of a joke, politely smiling only once the girls beside her giggled in response. 'Kiss-asses'. The following minutes were something of an emotional rollercoaster, the simple mention of how well the show was received by the public somehow calming her down, but not for more than a few seconds.

'Now, there is some... bittersweet news to this as well.'

Her heart dropped. This could not be happening. The trainee let go of her sleeve, her hands now awkwardly hanging by her sides before slowly curling into fists as she prepared herself to take a step forward. She needed them to know how badly she needed this, how much it meant to her to be a part of this company. They couldn't just let her—

Probably unlike how others would expect a trainee to react to such news, Yewon sighed in relief, and her body relaxed as a short smile just barely painted her lips. It wasn't hard to hide her excitement, so the trainee waited for the older to finish talking before bowing to everyone in the room and excusing herself out. As she closed the door behind her, the trainee placed a hand over her rapidly beating heart, now fully smiling as she took off towards the dorm. This outcome wasn't one she had predicted, but it was all she could ask for.

Well the votes are in, girls - the big winner is our fandom actually, with 4 votes it would be Cherubim or Cheri/Cherie (my french is not good enough to tell, but I remember there was a difference?? someone confirm??), based on the fact that the fans are our dear angels, who are fierce like lions.
Then the lightstick also has a clear winner - with 3 votes it is the heart hammer, which is cute, and its heart shape goes well with the cherubs who shoot the love arrows at people.
Lastly, for the group name we have a tie between cœur and château - both great choices. I believe cœur goes better with the aforementioned two being all about hearts and love and so, but if you wanted we could do a re-vote, only between those two?

And I do agree with Lisa - Royal Flush already is betting high on the royal concept, even with their name, I think we should stay away from it, and stick to being lovable cats, who know how to purr and bite equally well.

the issue i see with going the royal route is that Royal Flush already has that vibe, right? I want us to have a different kind of air about us that can’t be compared to anything else in the company. Also, it seems like we already have our concept. The whole kitten thing, the royal concept added on doesn’t really fit.

Although she wasn't close to Yewon, she did feel bad for her, after all, she performed with them, she was also a part of the team, Jiwon knew how hurt she must be. Her thoughts were interrupted as they were given the opportunity to listen to the demo of their possible debut song, which she did quite like albeit she wasn't sure how it would cater to them as they all had different images merged in the group. Soon after, when the names were given, for both the group and the fandom name, her attention turned from their CEO to the girls, listening to everyone who spoke before she raised her hand shyly.

"I honestly can't choose between Chateau and Cheshire, for Chateau I think the idea of royalty being part of the name is there, and it feels as if we're training to be a group that everyone can look up to in the future. A castle isn't built in one day. As for Cheshire, the idea that we are playful and we give out a mysterious side like the said cat from Alice in Wonderland. It can open a lot of ideas for future songs, comebacks, even music videos. For the fandom name, I vote for cherubim because-" she showed up her phone, the word already up on google. "-our fan are angels to us. They will be with us through almost everything we go through. Not only that, but we did perform lion, and I think the idea of an actual cherubim being part lion is a cool symbolism. And since it's feline. Just my thought." it was a lot to take in all at once. the song was cute enough, not Lisas personal taste but sometimes things have to grow on you , she trusts the company knows what they are doing to get them started. so she doesn’t have much to say on the song; however, the name and fandom was a different story.

“ i think overall, we need to take our entire image into consideration. this is gonna be our brand FOREVER. Once we debut with this name and present this lightstick, this is what we have which makes me all the more hesitant.”

This was a big decision; lisa scans the options again and again , nails tapping against the arm chair in contemplation. “ if we go cœur, i think heartbeats makes sense. not sure about the fandom names otherwise, they don’t have much of a connection. however, the whole selling point for us is cat centered? Wouldn’t it make sense to have more… cat options? Or is that overkill? No disrespect, ceo-nim.”

Personally, I like Chateau more, but cœur does have a certain appeal. As for the fandom name, I like Nobles and Cherubim. They sound royal, for sure. Ah, and another important aspect Yunjin-ssi brought up - while the pre-debut track is more bubble pop, we are not planning to keep you at the "kitten stage" as you said - your youthful and mature sides will often switch, in order to show different aspects of your image all the time, even within the same releases. As other artists in DSF can confirm to you, we will rely heavily on your input for singles off each release, as well as B-sides.

The trainee show was a great success, we have received a lot of media and public interest towards you ladies, and it has only been building up - but the time is very precious right now - we must not lose the momentum you gained from 9Lives by keeping the audience hungry for too long. This is why we have put into motion and have confirmed officially to media outlets that DSF is preparing to debut it's next girl group in the coming months.

Now, there is some... bittersweet news to this as well. There are 6 of you here, but only 5 will debut at this first stage of the group. Unfortunately, Yewon-ssi, your performance during 9Lives did not leave a favorable impression in the public's eye, and we have received disheartening marketing results in the case of debuting you along with the group, at this stage. This does not mean you should give up, of course. We will make sure to keep you in the public's eye and to earn their good graces and there is a plan set in motion for you to join the group at an upcoming stage, should the conditions remain the same as current. I'm sorry dear, but rest assured you have all of our support, and no doors are closing for you.

As for the rest - as I already hinted - initially a 5-member group, your concept will encapsulate the playfulness and mischievousness of a kitten, but also the elegance, grace, and maturity of a grown-up cat - you will show your multifaceted image to the world along with your various talents, and we hope this cat-centered double-variable concept will be to your liking.
In order to soft launch you as a group, we will employ the age-old tool of the pre-debut release - the song is called "Ice Cream Cake", and I will play its demo for you in a moment, and your official debut will follow soon after, but! Don't let me get ahead of myself, we have so much to discuss before we even reach the topic of releases and debuts and tracks and whatnot.

With her notebook safely tucked under her arm and both hands in her pockets, she began to follow the others towards the stairs, pausing only for moment when she noticed a certain someone still standing still. "Uhm, miss.... pretty sure the elevators won't work, even if it's a drill," the rapper pointed out before her eyes wandered down to the woman's slender legs and to her heels. Perhaps she had not known of the drill when she got dressed that morning.

Fire drill procedure insisted everyone use the emergency stairs, but such a tight skirt was not meant for stairs, or she would be flashing all 13 floors. Elevator it is.
She aimed exactly for said utility, absent-mindedly tapping out an email on her phone, manicured fingers tapping impatiently on the call button for the elevator as the alarm continued to blaze, but the young stylist paid it no mind.

Her mind is tired, having spent too long worrying about the new rap class she had been scheduling. Her one solace today would be the fire drill they had alerted them about during the morning briefing. It could come at any point, and this seemed better than any. Any moment now... Any moment.
