─ dance studio 'cullinan'

@✵ huh yunjin⁻ᵗʳᵃᶦⁿᵉᵉ The day did seem to feel a little bit brighter at the thought of going back to the dorm earlier. Sure, most of the time she spent in her room there was nothing but the voices in her head roaming and echoing as they pleased, the uncertainty of what was to come glooming over her much like the heavy clouds that filled the sky during her daily night walks, but nothing was worse than the sticky mess she became during practice. At home she will at least be able to shower and do nothing for the rest of the day.

That was indeed the plan, but the universe seemed to find it too boring, because the rough pull that sent her a few steps back was already leaving a stinging sensation on Yewon's shoulder, the pain mixing with the tiredness and numbness she felt from practice. There had never been a time when someone had spoken to her like that, and never did Yewon imagine someone ever would. She wasn't at all a confrontational person, but to physically come at her like that- let's just say her patience was short.

As the other trainee let go of her bag and the initial shock wore off, Yewon scoffed and let go of her bag, allowing the straps to slide down her arm, letting it falling to the ground within seconds. In a way, this wasn't her. It's not like she had ever been her, whatever that meant. Everything in her life felt like she was playing a role, a role of someone with her exact name.

"You must think you're so very important," the trainee took a few steps forward as she crossed her arms mockingly, a smirk covering her lips as she addressed not only Yunjin but the rest of the members as well.

"I don't see any of the trainers complaining about my performance? If practice is so important to you, why don't you put your tiny little brains into it and leave me the alone huh?"

@✵ choi yewon⁻ᵗʳᵃᶦⁿᵉᵉ yunjin had the forethought to braid her hair back the night before after she had gotten out of the shower, and she was grateful for it as she took a sip from her water bottle. while practice was over, yunjin often hung around to continue going over the choreography until she had it memorised—it wouldn't do to debut and forget the dance onstage, afterall.

she tugged at the end of her orange braid before humming the song under her breath, going over the counts in her head. bending down to set her water bottle down, yunjin sighed quietly to herself at how tired she was. then there was a rush of air beside her face, and yunjin blinked as she heard the quiet mutter from yewon.

suddenly seething with rage, yunjin reached out to grab the straps of yewon's bag before yanking it back, pointing a finger in her face. "look, yewon-ssi, i understand that none of us have really gotten that close to you so we don't really know you. but continuously skipping practices, only doing the bare minimum so you can skate by? it's not gonna ing cut it anymore. if our debut is postponed for any reason because of your inability to be a proper trainee, then leave this company and let somebody else who genuinely dreams of being an idol take your spot, because they'll be more deserving of it than you at this point."

yunjin scoffed before letting go of the bag, shaking her head. "and if anybody should be staying behind today to work on the choreography, it's you. don't think i haven't noticed how you keep watching us for the movements because you can't be bothered to even try and pretend you want to be here."

with that having been said, the orange haired girl shook her head and moved closer to the middle of the room, stretching her arms above her head as she looked at herself in the mirror.

@✵ huh yunjin⁻ᵗʳᵃᶦⁿᵉᵉ Although the trainee had untied and re-tied her shirt a hundred different ways, there was just nothing she could do to feel comfortable anymore. The thick layer of sweat that covered the entirety of her back and made every inch of clothing stick to her skin just made her sweat even more, her bangs clinging to her face every time they restarted the goddamn song.

'We're almost done, let's take a break' and 'just one more time' they had said. Not even a full minute of bliss as she rested her back on the foggy yet cold mirror later, everyone was already back in their positions, calling her over. She wasn't even supposed to come in today. Her list of excuses to miss practice was growing short, sure, but she'd thought of the perfect one for today just last night as she struggled to fall asleep. However, all went to waste as she got a message from one of the trainers informing her they'd be learning a new choreography and it was mandatory every trainee was present.

She came in late, of course, and she couldn't care less about the 'can I have a word with you' conversation she had with the trainer. This, obviously, all in her head. There was still a reason why she had to come in and act like this is what she dreamed of, so she couldn't simply act like she wanted. The trainee apologized deeply, throwing in some random excuse she thought of at the moment, and proceeded to follow the rest of the trainees for the remaining hours of practice, giving every little detail as little energy as she could while blending in with the rest.

Yewon sighed heavily in between pants as she managed to gather enough energy to push herself of the mirror, tiredly making her way to her bag and gathering her things, muttering something to herself as she threw the bag over her shoulder.

@☾ natty suputhipong A frustrated sigh escaped Mingi's lips. He had been trying to get this routine for more than four hours already and honestly speaking, he . It also didn't help him at all since his position in the group was also in charge of dance, he needed to get it done, no matter what. But maybe for now, he should take a little breather; maybe when he came back here, his body could do as he wished. Wiping the sweat off his forehead, Mingi moved to stop the music from the laptop when he heard someone cleared their throat. Turning around towards the entrance, he saw one of the sunbaenim of the company, and of course, he immediately bowed at her. "Natty sunbaenim! I didn't know you're there! were you going to use this room? I'm sorry. Let me clean up and wrap things up around here so you can use this room comfortably." He grinned sheepishly. Although he didn't remember other people who would use this Cullinan studio after him, but then again, maybe a big sunbae like herself would get a special treatment, and he couldn't do anything about it.

She'd gotten changed and refreshed in the company showers, having no time to stop by the dorms if she wanted to accomplish everything she wanted to that night* *she wasn't planning on any detours, but as she spun around a corner and found a lone straggler in an otherwise empty building, she had to stop*
*she pauses in the doorway to watch the dancing man for a while, and when the song wraps to an end she clears to announce her presence*

Everything just looked confusing to her. Where were the hand placements supposed to be again? She had no clue at all so she just stood there after she tried it, eyebrows furrowed as she squinted her eyes, as if it was going to make the older trainee zoom in through her eyes, only to sigh and pout. "Can you please do it again eonnie?" Sua asked with a sheepish grin, rubbing her nape, the confidence from earlier suddenly fading as she felt quite sheepish.

@✵ jung wheein⁻ᵗʳᵃᶦⁿᵉᵉ Sua's eyes widened as formed an o, giving a slow clap as she watched the older girl dance. "That looks cool, how'd you do that? Is it hard?" She asked, trying to copy the move but failing miserably which she laughed off before standing straight, giving a playful salute. "I'm ready to learn that move master." Sua playfully wiggled her eyebrows then hummed softly.

@✵ jung wheein⁻ᵗʳᵃᶦⁿᵉᵉ Sua's grin widened when she felt Wheein pat her head. If she were a cartoon, her tail would probably be wagging like a dog. "Alrighty then, hmm? Not fully, let me go do that real quick." She chuckled then started to stretch her arms, legs, even her neck, hearing a few cracks before she moved her head around. "I'm all prepped up now~ What's first?"

@✵ jung wheein⁻ᵗʳᵃᶦⁿᵉᵉ "Then hiphop it is! Although, is it easy to learn it? I mean I can learn choreographies, but I'm not the best if I need to perform right away. I would need a hella practice." Sua explained, giving a sheepish grin, rubbing her nape before she placed her phone on a nearby table in case it would fall from practice.

I’m not sure…” Sua brought her hand up to her chin, rubbing it with her thumb and index finger, squinting a bit while she pursed her lips as if in thought. “Ah!” She grinned as she smacked her palm as if having an epiphany. “If you were to look at me, what kind of style do you think would suit me, eonnie?”

@✵ jung wheein⁻ᵗʳᵃᶦⁿᵉᵉ "Nah, you're the kind one here. But anyway, shall we move on from the who is kinder cause i'm sure we'll never get over who's kinder among the two of us at this rate." The younger girl joked then clapped, already feeling at ease with Wheein. "I'm sure they are, trust me. Ah yay! Thank you! For both your time and uhhhh yes time, also skill." The rapper exclaimed dramatically before stretching her arms then shaking them as if warming up. "Where do we start?"

@✵ jung wheein⁻ᵗʳᵃᶦⁿᵉᵉ "See? That's what angels say!" She exclaimed, a big smile still on her face before she chuckled softly then pulled her hand back, clapping a bit. "I bet they'll all welcome you with open arms. Everyone here's nice, I mean, those that i've met, but I'm sure everyone is, definitely." The girl nodded to herself then hummed softly. "So, do we just dance now or do you need a schedule? I don't want to impose any longer on your practice time."

@✵ jung wheein⁻ᵗʳᵃᶦⁿᵉᵉ Sua shook her hand as she continued to grin. “Of course you’re an angel, and you’re welcome.” She chuckled then hummed in thought, crossing her arms while using one arm to rub her chin while thinking. “Yeah, a few months, I guess? Definitely! How about you? Have you met others? The coaches maybe? Other trainees? Oh oh how about our seniors?” She was pretty much shaking in excitement.

“That makes you my eonnie then! I’m 2 years younger, so Wheen eonnie it is.” She said with a grin, the grin on her face widened when Wheein said she’d help her out. “You’re truly an angel eonnie! And of course, i’ll be happy to be your first trainee friend. Wow, I have another trainee friend. This day just keeps getting better and better.” A chuckle could be heard from Sua after, shaking her own head in amusement of it all before she offered her hand. “Shall we shake on it then?”

@✵ jung wheein⁻ᵗʳᵃᶦⁿᵉᵉ "Awwww how sweet of you Wheein-ssi, oh should I drop formalities? Wait is it wrong to ask how old you are? How to ask that in a subtle way? How many years have you been living on this earth?" It was obvious how excited Sua was from meeting a new friend, from the way she was almost vibrating in her position. "Then, would you, I don't know, maybe help me with dancing?" She rubbed her arm as she shifted her weight from one foot to the other then grinned. "Oh i'm a trainee too! So we're definitely fellow trainees."

@✵ jung wheein⁻ᵗʳᵃᶦⁿᵉᵉ "Ah me? Oh right, of course me since there are only two of us here." She gave a sheepish grin while rubbing her nape before nodding eagerly. "Yup! Oh nice to meet you Wheein-ssi, I'm Sua, Moon Sua, you can call me Sua or Moon or Moonie, I honestly don't mind any nickname." A soft chuckle escaped from the girl's lips before she let out a soft sigh, a smile still playing on her lips. "Errr... dancing isn't really my forte, I mostly rap, singing is a bit of a stretch at times too but dance is just really-" She gestured with her hand going down for a dive before grinning cheekily. "Oh are you just new here Wheein-ssi?"

@✵ jung wheein⁻ᵗʳᵃᶦⁿᵉᵉ It was awfully quiet walking down the halls until Sua heard music from one of the dance studios. Being the curious one she was, the girl started making her way over to the said room, taking a look over at the little glass by the door. She hadn't seen the girl before, maybe she was new, she thought to herself. Her curiosity got the best of her when she slowly /and/ carefully opened the door, hoping she wouldn't disturb the girl dancing but, it was too late. Sua's eyes were as wide as saucers, as if she had been a deer caught in headlights. The short-haired girl quickly bowed, again and again, giving a sheepish grin. "I'm so sorry for ruining your practice, you were just so... so good! Like wow..."
